A collection of food donations at the Cabin restaurant in Middleboro headed to the Sacred Heart Food Pantry.

In November and December, the Sacred Heart Food Pantry was able to provide the usual monthly services to families as well as Thanksgiving and Christmas meals.

This was accomplished as more new households were joining the pantry. The pantry can continue to help people because of the strong and generous support of our communities.

"We are very grateful for the assistance that the pantry received," said Sacred Heart Food Pantry representative Tom O'Horo.

Numerous food drives and donations resulted in over 10,000 pounds of food being given to the pantry between November and December. We want to recognize the businesses and organizations that sponsored these activities. They include the Cabin Restaurant, Cranberry Chiropractic, the Lebaron Hills Country Club, the Mary K. Goode School, the Roto-Rooter Company, the Lakeville Lions Club, the AMETEK Brookfield Company, the Middleboro High School Student Council, the Drivers of the First Student Bus Company, the Middleboro Rotary Club, Compass Medical of Middleboro and Taunton, the Girl Scouts, Senior Whole Health, the Meeting House Church, the New England Outbackers ATV Club, the South Purchase Estates Condo Association, and the Old Colony YMCA in Middleboro.

In addition, many individuals donated goods to the pantry. We truly appreciate all that our neighbors have done to support families in Lakeville, Middleboro, Carver, and Rochester.
