This isn’t good.
The president and his cronies are seizing on a local Clark County commissioner's race after officials invalidated the results due to ballot discrepancies.
Does this mean Donald Trump has enough evidence to challenge the results of the presidential election? Of course not. Correcting the discrepancies may be enough to swing the county commissioner race in the state -- a race that had been previously called by a margin of only ten votes! But the small amount of discrepancies will have no impact on the outcome of Nevada. And even if by some catastrophe Trump managed to find nearly 34,000 extra votes all for him in Nevada, Joe Biden would still have over 270 electoral votes without Nevada, and he’d still be our president-elect.
But these kinds of unfortunate election glitches are exactly what Republicans were looking for in order to validate their phony claims of rigged elections -- and now they’ve found one.
We need to mobilize, now, in order to counteract the narrative that’s brewing on the far-right and ensure we defend the ballots that were safely and securely cast this election (which is the vast, vast majority of them.)
Please, if you want to respond quickly to this attack on our election credibility -- and this messaging win for Donald Trump -- then now is the time.
If you’re able, chip in what you can to show your support for the election results. Chip in to show you don’t think one tiny county commissioner’s race in NV is enough to invalidate the entire presidential election. Chip in to show Trump he’s wrong about this being a “victory” for him -- just, hopefully, one last delay before his inevitable defeat.
We can’t thank you enough for your rapid response in the face of this unexpected development. We promise to keep you posted -- and know that your support right now means everything.
