Months of attacks

 

when Alexandria first took office, she experienced something that no first-term Congressperson ever expects — wall-to-wall attacks on Fox News.

Because this movement stood up for an unapologetically progressive platform and spoke truth to power, conservative pundits and Fox anchors launched an onslaught of bad faith critiques and sensationalized commentary. Their motive was simple: Stop our progressive momentum at all costs.

While they failed to beat our movement then, that negative energy still radiates across the country. It’s part of the reason why our Republican opponent has raised over $3 million this cycle.

That same opponent still has over $1 million to attack us throughout the last 8 weeks of this race. Their attacks might be false, but we have to respond to them. Can we count on your help to fuel our defense with a grassroots contribution?

We understand why they oppose us with such ferocity. When you fight against a system that perpetuates injustice, there are those in power who benefit from that injustice. They don’t want to see change happen, because it takes away their privileged status.

That’s why Fox News dedicates so much time towards attacking progressive causes, social movements, and those who call out injustice. For them, it’s not about informing the public — it’s about protecting the interests of those who already have power.
