Our opponent’s massive warchest

 

According to official FEC reports, our Republican opponent has over $1,000,000 cash on hand to launch an onslaught of misleading attacks against our campaign.

Trump donors and Wall Street executives already tried to take us down once. After their primary campaign failed, they pivoted to a more traditional alternative — funding a Republican to compete against AOC.

Let’s be clear: AOC is a strong favorite in this race. The people funding our opponent understand that. But they want to do as much damage to our movement as possible, and $1,000,000 in malicious lies is a lot to defend against.

Help us fight back, and keep AOC doing the work that matters. Your support is how we combat dark money, Wall Street, and everyone who stands against our progressive ideals. Can you rush a contribution to help us prepare for our opponent’s onslaught?

Come November, we expect the district to be blanketed in ads targeting AOC, our policies, and our movement at large. We’ve already seen that our opponent is completely untethered to reality. Just look at a few of the claims he’s made to his supporters so far:

“[The Green New Deal] is so extreme that it would ban air travel and murder cows because of their flatulence.”

“The whole city is coming together behind me. Everyone wants this unserious flake AOC gone!”

“Her [convention] speech could have been given by Karl Marx himself!”

These claims are unhinged, full stop. But because of the way our political system works, when these attacks hit the airwaves, we have to respond and set the record straight.

We don’t have mega donors, executives, or Wall Street to fund our defense. It’s all people like you, chipping in a few dollars at a time. Can you rush a contribution to help us prepare to set the record straight in November?

Right now, our campaign is hard at work fighting for the communities of New York’s 14th. From spreading info about the census to supporting progressive candidates across the country, our resources are being put where they can make a difference.

Our enemies understand what we’re doing. That’s why they’re flooding cash into our opponent's war chest — because the more he can raise to malign our movement, the more we have to divert away from progressive-movement building to respond.
