Can I have a minute to explain?

I have an important ask to make, and I hope you’ll give me a minute to explain why this is so important.

This month, Mitch McConnell unleashed $5.7 million in attack ads against me. Not too long after that, we learned that the president is coming to Phoenix again to boost my Republican opponent.

This is a coordinated effort to slow us down, so we’re coming to you because we need your help to fight back. National Republicans have spent months raising big money from corporate special interests and now they’re spending that money on attack ads to bring us down.

So we’ve set a goal of getting 10,000 donations before the president steps on the stage at his rally in Phoenix on June 23rd to show him that we are not backing down.

You can see how important this is. So here’s the part where I ask:

Will you make a $3 contribution today to help us hit our 10,000 donation goal? This is so important. We need your help to withstand the combination of the president’s rally and the attack ads being launched by Mitch McConnell.

How we respond to this moment will have a big impact on this people-powered campaign.

The combination of the president making another trip to Arizona this year and Mitch McConnell hammering us with negative attack ads isn’t going to be easy to overcome.

But if we can show them that we have 10,000 people standing with this campaign we can show them that no matter what they throw at us we will come out on top.
