ALEXANDRIA OCASIO-CORTEZ: CHAMBER OF COMMERCE: 96% of their support went to Republican candidates

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for Congress

One of AOC’s opponents just got a major boost from a dark money organization.
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce, an organization that raises millions of dollars from corporate PACs, just endorsed AOC’s Democratic opponent in our upcoming June 23rd primary.
That comes as a surprise to us, because the Chamber of Commerce has overwhelmingly supported Republican candidates in the past. In 2016, over 96% of their spending went towards conservative, right-wing candidates.
This endorsement likely means they’ll be spending massive sums in support of our opponents. AOC takes $0 in corporate PAC money, so we need your support to fight back. Can you help by donating?
Let’s be clear here: This is retaliation. Alexandria has been a stalwart champion of working people in Congress. Whenever corporations try to abuse the system to exploit us, she speaks out.

That’s why they're making this move. These corporations know that if AOC’s opponent wins this primary, they’ll have an ally in Congress instead of a progressive thorn in their side.

We can’t let that happen. We need AOC to keep up the fight in Congress more than ever. Will you donate $15 to help us prepare for the oncoming attack ads this dark money organization will launch?
Thanks to our broken campaign finance system, we have no idea how much money this organization has raised to fight us. Corporations can donate functionally unlimited sums of money for this organization to run vicious, deceptive attack ads against our movement.

That’s what we’re up against. We can overcome this corporate threat if we refuse to back down and if we all stand together.

In solidarity,

Team AOC
