Joni Ernst and Donald Trump are trying to destroy our healthcare!

Ten years ago, our nation took a bold step towards improving the health care for millions across the country when Congress passed the Affordable Care Act. Ever since that moment Republicans have been attacking the measure, finding new ways to undermine the coverage it has provided by attempting to limit the measure’s power – either by passing other laws that weaken it or by directly attacking the law in our federal courts.

With Senate Republicans having spent a decade attacking health care and confirming almost two hundred of Trump’s judicial nominees – with many of them opposing health care expansion – our nation is now facing the repercussions of their continued attempts to undermine our health care.

As the nation continues grappling with the coronavirus pandemic sweeping the globe, state and federal leaders are scrambling to ensure that people have the resources necessary to care for themselves and their loved ones. The need for increased health care coverage is becoming more and more apparent, yet Republicans now equivocate on whether and how to expand the resources that are available.

Even while the global pandemic continues, Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee are STILL considering other far right judicial nominees that are hostile to health care - nominees who, if confirmed, would continue to undermine the future of the ACA and the health care protections it has provided.

We simply cannot afford to put the ACA at risk any longer by confirming these unqualified judges – add your name to the thousands across the country demanding that the Senate end their consideration of Trump’s judicial nominees!

During this time of crisis in our country it’s of increasing urgency that we continue holding Congressional Republicans accountable – for their failure of leadership and for their ongoing attempts to undermine our health care.
