New Anti-Trump Impeachment Ads Hit Trump Where It Hurts

It may seem as though Donald Trump is popular with all Republicans because we see so much of the handfuls of idiots who still choose to get down in the dirt with the president. There are, however, a lot of conservatives who do not want Trump to get away with abusing his power as president, and one Republican group is putting their money where their mouth is.

The following three anti-corruption ads were released by the Republicans for the Rule of Law Wednesday. One says about John Bolton, “He’s willing to do his duty to tell the truth. Are Senate Republicans willing to do their duty to listen?”
The group’s spokesperson Chris Truax said this about the campaign to the media:
“NOW IT’S DECISION TIME AND SENATE REPUBLICANS WILL COME FACE-TO-FACE WITH THEIR CONSTITUTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES THIS FRIDAY WHEN THEY VOTE ON CALLING WITNESSES. THEY CAN HONOR THEIR OATH TO DO IMPARTIAL JUSTICE AND VOTE FOR TRANSPARENCY AND OPENNESS. OR THEY CAN SHOVE THEIR FINGERS IN THEIR EARS AND TRY TO HIDE THE FACTS FROM BOTH THEMSELVES AND THEIR CONSTITUENTS.”
As we reported earlier:
Donald Trump and his administration of criminals and crooks are doing absolutely everything they can to silence the witnesses involved in his attempt to extort Ukraine into fabricating dirt on Joe Biden, The DNC, and Democrats in power. They thought they had done everything they could, but what they didn’t anticipate was one of the witnesses writing a book detailing the criminal behavior of the president of the United States.
According to CNN:
THE WHITE HOUSE HAS ISSUED A FORMAL THREAT TO FORMER NATIONAL SECURITY ADVISER JOHN BOLTON TO KEEP HIM FROM PUBLISHING HIS BOOK, “THE ROOM WHERE IT HAPPENED: A WHITE HOUSE MEMOIR,” SOURCES FAMILIAR WITH THE MATTER TELL CNN.
THE WHITE HOUSE HAD NO COMMENT. NEITHER BOLTON NOR A SPOKESMAN FOR THE PUBLISHER, SIMON & SCHUSTER, RESPONDED TO A REQUEST FOR COMMENT.
The president has been flipping out on Twitter all morning over the revelations in Bolton’s book, and from the wording of the tweets, Trump seems to know exactly what’s in that book. This is what he said:
CNN continues:
THE LETTER COMES IN THE MIDST OF PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP ATTACKING BOLTON ON TWITTER, AND BOLTON’S LAWYER ACCUSING THE WHITE HOUSE OF CORRUPTING THE VETTING PROCESS FOR BOLTON’S BOOK BY SHARING THE CONTENTS OF THE BOOK WITH THOSE OUTSIDE THE NATIONAL SECURITY COUNCIL’S RECORDS MANAGEMENT DIVISION.
NY Times reports that:
PRESIDENT TRUMP TOLD HIS NATIONAL SECURITY ADVISER IN AUGUST THAT HE WANTED TO CONTINUE FREEZING $391 MILLION IN SECURITY ASSISTANCE TO UKRAINE UNTIL OFFICIALS THERE HELPED WITH INVESTIGATIONS INTO DEMOCRATS INCLUDING THE BIDENS, ACCORDING TO AN UNPUBLISHED MANUSCRIPT BY THE FORMER ADVISER, JOHN R. BOLTON.
The threat from the White House makes sense now. Trump was already in deep with the Ukraine scandal, but with a name like John Bolton saying that he definitely tried to extort Ukraine, effectively abusing his power as president, Trump knows that this will be a certain end to his reign as ruler of this Democracy.
The Times continues:
THE PRESIDENT’S STATEMENT AS DESCRIBED BY MR. BOLTON COULD UNDERCUT A KEY ELEMENT OF HIS IMPEACHMENT DEFENSE: THAT THE HOLDUP IN AID WAS SEPARATE FROM MR. TRUMP’S REQUESTS THAT UKRAINE ANNOUNCE INVESTIGATIONS INTO HIS PERCEIVED ENEMIES, INCLUDING FORMER VICE PRESIDENT JOSEPH R. BIDEN JR. AND HIS SON HUNTER BIDEN, WHO HAD WORKED FOR A UKRAINIAN ENERGY FIRM WHILE HIS FATHER WAS IN OFFICE.
