Trump is trying to bypass Congress AGAIN to send Israel $1 billion worth of weapons. This time it's 10,000 laser-guided rockets equipped with the U.S.'s Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System.^1,2

The White House declared an "emergency" to skip Congressional oversight and send arms to Israel as the Israeli military commits atrocities in Lebanon and Gaza.³

Senator Bernie Sanders has helped build historic opposition in Congress to our government's continued funding and weapons support for Israel.⁴ Our lawmakers must reject more taxpayer dollars and U.S. arms going to fuel Israel's genocidal violence.

Israel has killed over 2,500 people in Lebanon since early March, including dozens of people since reaching a so-called ceasefire deal. Israel is destroying villages and occupying parts of southern Lebanon.⁵

"The fate of southern Lebanon will be the same as that of Gaza," said the Israeli defense minister recently.⁶ This is the terror Trump and Congress are supporting when the U.S. government sends weapons to Israel.

In addition to making the moral case against supplying weapons for Israel's atrocities in Gaza, Lebanon, and Iran, Sen. Sanders has also noted that sending weapons to Israel is a violation of American law — "our government cannot provide weapons to any country that violates internationally recognized human rights or prohibits the delivery of U.S. humanitarian aid."^7,8

Congress must prevent Trump from sending more military aid to Israel NOW.

The United Nations warned that Israel could be implementing the "Gaza model" in Lebanon as Israel's onslaught begins to resemble its genocidal campaign against Palestinians.¹

Senator Bernie Sanders is calling on Congress to stop Trump from sending over 20,000 bombs to fuel Israel's atrocities in Lebanon and continued airstrikes on Iran.² Trump declared an "emergency" in order to rush this $660 million unilateral arms transfer to Israel — but Sen. Sanders plans to force a vote to stop it.³

Israel launched a ground invasion in southern Lebanon with plans to demolish the homes of 600,000 people and remain there as an occupying force.^4,5 IDF attacks — including airstrikes on residential buildings in Beirut — have killed over a thousand civilians in Lebanon.⁶

"Given the horrific destruction that Israel’s extremist government has wrought on Gaza, Iran and Lebanon, the last thing in the world that American taxpayers need to do right now is to provide 22,000 new bombs" to Israel, said Sen. Sanders when he introduced the resolutions to block weapons shipments to Israel. "No more weapons to support an illegal war."⁷

The U.S. has already supported Israel’s violence and destruction in Gaza, Lebanon, and Iran with tens of billions of dollars in funding and weapons. Congress must stop Trump from further fueling Israel’s aggression across the Middle East.
