Longtime Fox News host Maria Bartiromo fired after leaking company info to Trump

BYE BYE, FE-LIE-SHA! The longtime Fox host who metastasized from benign finance bozo to full-blown, election-steal conspiracy tumor has been abruptly fired from the network for — you guessed it — pushing election-steal conspiracies. Or more specifically, not being *allowed* to push election-steal conspiracies, then leaking the company's stance on the matter to Donald himself.

After Donald Trump gave a speech in July pushing the Big Lie (again), Fox ordered its hosts to stay far, far away from it, likely due to the staggering $787 million settlement they were forced pay the LAST time the network peddled the MAGA cult leader's bullshit conspiracy theories.

Bartiromo, dutiful sycophant that she is, then leaked the company's directive to the Trump administration, which has now led to her ousting. Good riddance!

VIDEO OF THE DAY: State Supreme Court ruling ROCKS midterm elections

The Missouri state Supreme Court just UNANIMOUSLY rejected a new Trump-backed congressional map from being used in the November midterm election and ordered the whole thing to be put to a statewide vote instead. The map Republicans rammed through last year stripping away yet another Democratic district is no longer valid, and the 2020 Census map will remain in effect this fall.

It's also definitely worth noting that FIVE of the seven justices on the court were appointed by Republican governors, lest anyone out there named Donald kicks and screams about "HiGhLy cOnFliCtEd," activist judges enacting a radical "leftist" agenda.

Speaking to reporters at the White House on Thursday, JD Vance claimed that the United States has been "quite successful up to this point" keeping gas from skyrocketing even higher, despite Americans paying exorbitant prices at the pump for much of the year. "Gas, frankly, could've been much, much higher were it not for our efforts," the cosplay hillbilly claimed.

Did you get that, you selfish ingrates? You should thankful gas prices aren't even higher! Sure, we launched a preemptive war, gummed up the world's busiest oil shipping channel, and have no viable exit strategy, but if the US left the Persian Gulf now, there would be "no guaranteed access to oil and gas" and prices could surge even higher.

In other words: we have no choice but to employ the arsonists to keep their wildfire from burning further out of control.

The wannabe dictator's $1.5 million renovation of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool ballooned to $7 million before nearly doubling to $13.1 million, then surged past $16 million before climbing yet again to nearly $20 million. Oh, also. The pool is still empty and fenced off from the public, and there is no timeframe on when ongoing repairs will actually be completed.

Wait, did we say Donald is pouring more money into the pool? Sorry, taxpayers are footing the bill, of course. Anyone willing place a bet that latest sticker price will hold?

Donald being Donald, he wants to make the upcoming midterms all about himself, despite historically awful polling numbers and a growing number of Republicans who would much prefer he sit this one out. Even in areas the president carried by double digits in 2024, Republicans are increasingly wary of tying themselves too closely to the wannabe dictator.

Many privately admit they're stuck in an uncomfortable spot: by running too far from Trump, they risk alienating the MAGA faithful or the cult leader himself, whose super PAC is sitting on more than $400 million they desperately need deployed to help them win key races. But if the candidates keep Donald close, they could sink alongside him.

Spineless cowards that they are, few Republicans are actually willing to go on the official record telling Trump to stay away. But the murmurings are impossible to ignore. “We’ve told them he cannot come,” said an unnamed senior Republican involved in a competitive House GOP race in a district where Trump won comfortably in 2024. "Candidly, he would not be helpful here … I do not believe they would send him without our OK. And if they did, we probably wouldn't campaign with him."

California woman says she was raped by Rep. Eric Swalwell in 2018
A California woman on Tuesday said she was raped by Democratic Rep. Eric Swalwell in 2018 and now plans to make a report to law enforcement. Lonna Drewes said during a news conference that the assault occurred at a hotel in Southern California. She said she had one glass of wine that evening and believes Swalwell drugged her before raping her. Swalwell dropped out of the California governor’s race on Sunday and officially resigned from Congress yesterday following earlier allegations of sexual assault from a different woman and other credible claims of sexual misconduct.

Drewes said she did not undergo a rape kit but disclosed the alleged assault to people close to her and documented it in her journal. She said she also discussed the alleged rape during therapy sessions at a sexual assault center in Connecticut. Attorney Lisa Bloom said those journal entries, along with text messages and photographs, will be included in the forthcoming report to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

At that point, Amelia's blood-oxygen levels — which should hover between 95 and 100 percent for a healthy person — had crashed into the low 50s, a level so catastrophically low it can cause permanent brain damage. Amelia was eventually transported to a hospital in San Antonio, where she spent the next 10 days in intensive care fighting off COVID, RSV, bronchitis, pneumonia, and an ear infection.

Upon discharge, Amelia and her mother were sent right back to the Dilley Immigration Processing Center that sickened her in the first place — without Amelia's birth certificate, her vaccination records, the nebulizer medication doctors had prescribed her, or the bag of clean clothes a nurse had given the pair, because, well, abject cruelty IS the point. Isn't it good to be great again?
