We just announced our endorsement of Kina Collins in the Democratic primary for the 7th Congressional District in Illinois (IL-7). She launched her campaign today and we’re so excited for her run in this critical race.

Kina is an organizer from a working-class background focused on addressing the economic, social, and racial inequalities in her district and beyond. IL-7 is the most unequal district in the country. Working-class communities have been left behind, and the pandemic has only made things worse. Wealthy parts of this district have an average life expectancy 30 years longer than less privileged areas in the very same city. 28% of all of the gun violence in Illinois is in IL-7. This all needs to change.

Kina has fought for Medicare for All, police accountability, and justice for all. She’ll continue to fight for the people in Congress.
