When I took office, I promised to make New York City belong to more of its people than it did the day before.
And we’ve proved something spectacular. That we can fill the potholes and open the grocery stores and protect the tenants and deliver childcare — all at once, all for the people who need it most.
Our movement is stronger than ever because grassroots supporters like you allowed us to defy every prediction the political establishment made. The billionaires spent against us. The pundits wrote us off. And we won anyway, because enough people decided that this movement was worth investing in.
But today, they’re watching closely to see if our movement has the momentum to keep going.
Every dollar raised answers that question. It tells the challengers waiting in the wings and the establishment hoping we stumble that we are not going anywhere.
We have to prove that our momentum continues, and that our movement will only grow. If you can chip in any amount today, it will help us build on this strength.
