THEY PUT THE REGIME’S OWN MEN ON TRIAL

Todd Blanche wants the Attorney General job locked in for good. On Wednesday, one answer proved he should never have it.
Asked under oath if he and Trump are friends, Blanche replied, “I’m his lawyer. Was his lawyer. And now I’m the deputy attorney general.” He couldn’t finish one statement without giving the whole game away—this is the man who’d be the most powerful law-enforcement officer in the country, still talking like Trump’s hired defense.
While Blanche fumbled, the most important people in that room weren’t senators—they were survivors. They sat feet from the man who botched the release of the Epstein files, the release that exposed their names, medical records, and private lives. Blanche has never met with a single one of them. He met with Ghislaine Maxwell, a convicted child sex trafficker. But not them. That alone should disqualify him.
At the very same time, in another hearing room, Trump’s pick to run all US intelligence, Jay Clayton, refused again and again to say who won the 2020 election. Sen. Jon Ossoff laid down the hammer: “Isn’t it humiliating to be unable to answer this question—to have to indulge the president’s delusions?”
The regime put its own men on trial this week. It just didn’t mean to.
THE PRESS PUNCHED BACK IN COURT

The regime sent federal agents to reporters’ homes to scare them into naming their sources. This week, they hit a wall.
It started with a story. Journalists for The New York Times reported that Trump’s Qatari-gifted jet lacked the anti-missile defenses of the old Air Force One—a real security hole the regime didn’t want printed. So the DOJ came after the reporters, hitting them with grand jury subpoenas designed to force them to burn their sources. That’s not law enforcement. That’s what regimes do to journalists they can’t control.
On Wednesday, the Times went to court to kill the subpoenas. Their top lawyer, David McCraw, said they violated the Constitution and were “brought in bad faith to punish the Times for its coverage.”
You don’t have to love corporate media to see what’s happening here. When the government sends agents to a reporter’s door to punish a story, the target isn’t one newspaper. It’s all of us.
E. JEAN CARROLL GOT PAID

Three years ago, a jury unanimously found that Donald Trump sexually abused E. Jean Carroll and lied about it. This week, she finally collected.
$5,625,005.48 landed in her lawyers’ account—the $5 million verdict, plus three years of interest Trump ran up trying to dodge it. Judge Lewis Kaplan rejected his latest stall tactic, an appeals court slammed the door hours later, and the Supreme Court had already refused to save him.
“The Eagle has landed,” Carroll wrote when the money hit. Then she called it what it really was: a win “FOR EVERY WOMAN IN THE WORLD.”
He spent decades calling her a liar and a fortune trying to make it go away. The money he just wired proves she was telling the truth.
CALIFORNIA JUST MADE IT CHEAPER TO BUILD HOMES

While Trump raged this week about a five-year-old election, California was busy doing something he never does: making people’s lives better. On Monday, Gov. Gavin Newsom signed a law that cuts $60,000 to $70,000 off the cost of every affordable apartment the state helps build—which means the same money now stretches to far more homes.
This isn’t just a plan. It’s a track record. California has built more than 682,000 homes since 2019—a 59% increase in construction—and the wait for approval has been cut by more than half. Last year, the state posted the largest drop in people sleeping on the street in 16 years—the biggest of any state in the country.
You can see it in Oakland’s Chinatown, where a building is going up right now and 97 families will get their keys this fall. Children picking out their rooms. Parents who’d almost given up on ever affording a decent place for their family.
Trump fights for himself. Democrats build for you. That’s the choice in November.

I’m very happy for California but if the governor wasn’t positioning himself for a run for president, would he have exerted so much effort to fight? California still has serious issues so I wouldn’t consider even a moment to note for him. Too many democrats in high offices are not giving there all to fight trumpy! Our party has serious issues & those who haven’t been on the front lines need to retire. I will not vote for anyone over 60 (first campaign) & will not donate to them. I’m nearly 80 & have supported myself for many years & will not trust those who’ve been in office for years & getting richer by the year!
Trump's constant lying has surpassed his ability to stay ahead of what he says and the public seems to be catching on, although far too many still listen without hearing and follow without questioning. It is up to those of us who understand the truth to keep laying out there for the doubters and naysayers to see and hear, incessantly, until they cannot forget the truth even if they still want to deny it. That Trump could come up with nothing new to back his endless claim of cheating voters is testament to the exhaustive efforts of Democrats and supporters to share and spread the truth despite the onslaught of lies spewing from the WH. We have heard it all before, and what was untrue before remains untrue now, Mr. President. Your recycled claims are boring and useless and should just be ignored and maybe--just maybe--you'll dry up and disappear.
