AMERICA250 EXPOSED

Congress created a group called America250 to throw the country’s 250th birthday party—open, bipartisan, for everybody. Trump couldn’t control it. So the White House built a shadow version and hid it inside the National Park Foundation, the trusted charity that protects Yellowstone and the Grand Canyon.
A new House investigation led by Rep. Jared Huffman shows what they did with it. They packed the charity’s board with Trump’s own campaign operatives and put the country up for sale: a million-dollar check bought a photo with Trump. Even the firm that staged Trump’s Jan 6 rally cashed in—being handed tens of millions in tax dollars.
Huffman was clear: Republicans let Trump “hijack the country’s 250th anniversary and sell access, hide his donors, and rewrite history.”
Here’s the good news: it ran in the dark for months. This week Congress dragged every piece of it into the light—days before the fireworks. Once the corruption has names and numbers on it, it stops being a rumor and becomes a case. This is the first thread—and we’re going to keep pulling.
INVESTIGATION: FOREIGN CASH IS POURING IN

Last year, foreign business deals put nearly $60 million into Trump’s pocket. Most of it came from Gulf states—Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates—with millions more from other countries. Eight nations in a single year.
Those same Gulf governments spent 2025 asking Trump for things—lower tariffs, weapons deals, a friendly word. They were paying the most powerful man in the world while he held the power to give them exactly what they wanted. He signed a federal form swearing every dollar was true.
Colorado Rep. Jason Crow didn’t flinch: “This grift and corruption is staggering. Accountability is coming.”
THEY CAME FOR YOUR BALLOT AND LOST

Enough about their money. Now a clean win.
In March, the regime signed an order to seize control of your vote. Under it, if your state refused to hand its list of voters to Homeland Security, the Postal Service would simply refuse to deliver your ballot. No list, no vote.
On July 1, Judge Emmet Sullivan blew it up—nationwide—calling the regime’s arguments “without merit.” NAACP President Derrick Johnson didn’t hold back: “The president is failing, and the people are winning. If we all vote in November, we can put an end to his madness.”
They keep losing in court because they’re on the wrong side of the law—and they’ll lose in November because they’re on the wrong side of the people.
BRENNAN REFUSED TO KNEEL

This is what the regime is truly afraid of: people who won’t be scared quiet.
John Brennan ran the CIA. He says the regime is investigating him as payback for doing his job in 2016, when US spy agencies found Russia interfered in the election to help Trump. This week Brennan hit back—suing Trump and the DOJ to force them to preserve every record before anything could quietly vanish.
And he’s far from alone. Reuters counts at least 470 people and groups the regime has gone after for revenge. “I don’t want to sit on our hands,” Brennan said, “because if he gets away with me, he’s going to continue to do this against others.”
Brennan isn’t hiding. He’s on offense: “It’s John Brennan today, but I think it’s going to be many others tomorrow.” His message to everyone: “People have to stand up.”

Reading this one made me think about how much they’re trying to do at once — and how often it’s blowing up on them. They tried to hijack the country’s birthday celebration, took millions from foreign governments, and still got blocked by a judge when they went after voting access.
It’s good to see real pushback actually landing in multiple places.
Seemingly, the reason America still has voting-by-mail is because of an agreement between the Post Office and the NAACP to provide ballots on a time-appropriate basis..
As such, all America owes the NAACP a huge thanks.

I wrote earlier about my childhood 4th of July- tomorrow my husband and I will go with our grandson to a local No Kings gathering , get ice cream across the street, hear the Declaration of Independence read in our town park and go hear James Taylor at Tanglewood at night.
Sitting on the steps of the Capitol Building, the summer I moved to DC, with an unimpeded view down the Mall of fireworks blazing up behind the Washington Monument….sadly, it won’t look like that this year
I agree; I refuse to celebrate or even acknowledge the day tomorrow. Many will be blowing up fireworks just because they like the noise & excitement. No concerns for veterans of wars who are triggered or innocent pets who are terrified. I would love to see a law created to prevent individuals having fireworks in their neighborhoods. There should be community fireworks for people to watch safely instead of people firing them off late into the night. Maybe this will be a possibility when we remove the criminals & idiots running our government. Note: when I was 10 yrs old I pit a pinwheel fireworks on a tree & it flew off & hit me in the eye. That’s an example of what’s wrong with fireworks.
We are exactly four (4!) months away from the most important election of our lifetime! That sentence is not hyperbole. It’s the truth. After that election there are two possibilities:
1. Republicans win and we have a dictatorship that will not ever again have elections that are free and fair.
2. We can stop the dictator and prevent him grifting off his power.
I am SO sick of the blatant, transparent, in your face corruption and theft of our tax dollars.
Judge Sullivan is awesome! I hope he holds Toadie Blanche to account! Pretty sure toadie is in contempt as he was suppose to answer Katie Phang's lawsuit yesterday. I haven't heard yet the outcome of that.

I used to live in NYC and raised my son there. We shared so many wonderful memories watching the Macys fireworks from the East River, standing on the FDR or going to Battery park.
We have no burn ordinance in effect, fire danger is present yet fireworks are being sold everywhere including our local store. My poor dog will need to be sedated due to silly neighbors setting off illegal fireworks. Happy 4th of July let’s all stay safe and sane

I can’t in good conscience celebrate the political use of the 250th Anniversary of our country. What is being done is the ultimate betrayal of everything our country stands for. Thank you for your great work.
On July 3, 1966 it was over 100 degrees in Trenton NJ. The reason I know this, is that I was pregnant, and the due date was July 4, 1966. There was no air conditioning in our home at that time, so I called my obstetrician and told him I was so uncomfortable, and I was worried about the baby. He told me to go to the hospital, and if nothing happened by the 5th, they would induce labor. Well, at 9:30 am on the 4th I had a labor pain. Later that day, my third child, a daughter, was born. She is going to be 60 tomorrow, July 4, 2026.
I was born in WDC 73 years ago to parents who had migrated from Appalachia to DC after WWII. Fifty years ago, I was working in DC. There was an air of excitement about the Bicentennial. There were flowers, flags and a message on the trash cans reminding locals to be kind to the tourists as we could be their best memory of their visit to Washington. It hurts me to see what destruction has been inflicted on DC.

Your first sentence caught my interest ....maybe dynamite instead of just fireworks.
I did my internship in Washington D.C. but stayed near Bethesda. It was a great memory going to the fireworks with my great uncle and being with all the crowds streaming into the city. Everyone was in a celebratory mood.
I remember wonderful 4th of July celebrations in my hometown-ice cream, sack races for the kids, hot dogs, being with my friends- and sitting with my family watching the fireworks at night. Once my husband and I moved to a rural area from New York City, we could do it again with our kids.
Favorite July 4ths? As young girls, my sister and I rode in an equestrian drill team, and July 4ths were always parades in our medium-sized Midwestern town, blazing heat or not. Such fun, innocent, patriotic times when everyone was proud of America and definitely kinder to each other.
It is a s simple as this, pocketing money from foreign leaders is enough to take ANY president down. Let's do it!!! :-)
As to a favorite 4th of July, It is almost dream like now. In the mid 50's waiting for dark on the front lawn south of Seattle to watch for fireworks being shot-up over Lake Washington at some great distance away. And to be allowed to hold a sparkler and whirl around with it!! The day had also been filled with the sound of hydro plane boats preparing to race on Lake Washington for our Sea Fair Days. It was the wonder of being able to hear them plainly at such a distance! Best 4th of July for me was in 2003 after the birth of my first child, a baby girl. Hard to believe it was 23 years ago now. Funny note my nephew was born the same day in 2002. Hope everyone has a great 4th of July and can forget for one day that we are in a battle for our kid's future, but I think they are losing and we are winning.

I have always enjoyed celebrating the Fourth of July with family and friends. This year, even though I am going to a cookout with neighbors, I find it very hard to find anything to celebrate about! I knew the republicans would attack the Democrat candidates, but I did not realize they would be so horrible. They are trying to paint Democrats as communists/socialists when the two terms are NOT interchangeable! What the Democrat candidates are running on is all of the issues and concerns affecting all of us! Healthcare, affordability, program stability for Social Security, Medicare, etc. What American would not want those things addressed by our congressmen? Why are they acting like we are evil and vile for wanting those things. All they have done since coming into power has been to take away all they possibly can from working Americans and giving it to the oligarchs? It is shameful and I weep because magas swallow it hook, line and sinker! Even though it hurts them, they continue to support this corrupt regime! It makes absolutely no sense to me whatsoever! It is unbelievable the amount of corruption. It will take years to wade through everything. My hope is that all the money Trump has swindled out of the American people will be returned to fix all the damage.
