THE PEOPLE KILLED A $38 BILLION PLAN

In January, the Trump regime went shopping with your money—eleven empty warehouses, more than a billion dollars. The idea was to cram tens of thousands of immigrants inside them, the first moves in a $38 billion scheme to build a massive new immigrant detention network.
Then they ran into Jennifer Devine.
Devine is a 53-year-old grandmother and Amazon warehouse worker from rural Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania—MAGA country, where seven in ten voters backed Trump. When the regime announced plans to open a 7,500-person detention camp down the road, she organized a packed town meeting at the local fire hall to stop it.
She wasn’t alone. A federal judge in Maryland blocked the regime from converting a warehouse into a detention center for violating federal law. People across the country filed petitions, sued, and packed hearings.
And this week the regime blinked: internal documents show it now plans to offload seven of those eleven warehouses—more than $700 million worth—selling them off or handing them to other agencies.
The warehouses sit empty. The people did that. But here’s what should keep the regime up at night: this wasn’t just liberal protesters. It was also Trump voters, in Trump country, saying not here.
HIS CLOSEST EUROPEAN ALLY TURNED ON HIM

Giorgia Meloni was Trump’s favorite leader in Europe. Italy’s prime minister. He called her “fantastic,” and said she was “taking Europe by storm.”
Then she stopped bowing.
When Trump went after the Pope this spring, Meloni called it “unacceptable.” Trump responded, saying she lacked courage. Then last week at the G7 summit, Trump went on Italian TV to tell the world that Meloni “begged” him for a photo—and that he only allowed it because he felt sorry for her.
She didn’t flinch. “Donald Trump’s statements are completely made-up. I am frankly astonished,” she said. Then: “I and Italy never beg.” Her foreign minister canceled his trip to the US in disgust. Even her political enemies defended her.
Meloni called his bluff and lost nothing that mattered. Every world leader watching just learned the same thing: Trump’s power depends on fear. Stand your ground, and suddenly he’s exposed—just a bully with a megaphone.
HE CAN’T EVEN FIX A POOL

Trump called the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool “filthy” and set out to fix it. He then handed the job worth around $15 million—eight times what he promised—with no bidding to a company that had never held a federal contract, but had done work at one of his own golf clubs.
Days after they completed the project, the pool turned swamp-green—an algae bloom any expert could’ve predicted—and the fresh paint peeled off in sheets. By the weekend he gave up and the contractor confirmed that the whole project has to be redone.
Instead of owning it, he went after the people who noticed. Park Police arrested multiple people, including a man who merely touched the peeling liner—and Trump demanded years in jail for crimes that didn’t happen.
Trump wanted a monument to himself. It turned into proof he can’t be trusted with a paint job, let alone a country.
THEY BLOCKED $130 BILLION WITH FOLDING CHAIRS

Trump wants to bury America in data centers—huge, windowless buildings packed with computers to feed his AI obsession. They drive up power bills and drain water resources. But the people who’d have to live beside them had other plans.
They found each other online. They filled town hall meetings that used to sit empty—bringing folding chairs, their neighbors, their courage. They stood up at the microphone and told the truth about what these buildings would do to their water and their wallets. And it worked.
In the first three months of this year alone, people stopped or stalled seventy-five of these projects—worth around $130 billion. The number of groups fighting back has more than doubled to 833 across forty-nine states.
In Warrenton, Virginia, voters didn’t just complain—they threw out every council member who’d sided with the developers, and replaced them with neighbors who’d kill the project.
This isn’t one party against the other. It’s everybody—left, right, in-between—all saying no. And winning.

Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about how power actually moves.
It’s not always dramatic or loud. Sometimes it’s a packed fire hall in Trump country. Sometimes it’s voters showing up and replacing the people who were supposed to represent them.

I hope that the midterms reflect how 67 percent of the country feels about TRump's job performance and all of the stupid, unnecessary and costly projects he takes on (then destroys) but I have no faith that TRump's loyal followers will do the right thing and vote the RepubliCons out of Congress who are continuing to allow TRump to do whatever he wants without any push back. As far as the data centers in prison camps go, every community needs to be standing up against this regime's takeover of small towns which would be seriously, negatively impacted. Down here near Palm Springs there's already people in three cities, Palm Springs, Desert Hot Springs, and Coachella, who are fighting the developers of these centers, with Coachella already putting a moratorium on them for a year. There needs to be a permanent moratorium on data centers here in the desert! ONWARD!!!🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲

The mid Terms are looking more hopeful every day. Thanks to many Reds and Blues determined to get rid of Trump for the good of all of us. There are no detention or data centers planned in my area.
