The Clintons Just Turned The Tables On Trump, CEO Refuses To Back Down To The Pentagon, and Senators Demand $175 Billion Tariff Refund

Trump tried to bury this great news—and he failed miserably

The regime wants the stories in this brief buried—every ❤️ like and re-stack makes sure that doesn’t happen. Do it now to help us directly fight the MAGA propaganda machine.

If you’re not yet a paid subscriber, here’s the deal—we’ve never taken a corporate dollar and we never will. No ads, no billionaires, no one telling us what we can and can’t say about Trump. THEY REFUSED TO BEND

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth — Jan 3, 2026

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth gave Anthropic until 5:01pm on Friday—either drop its AI guardrails or face being labeled a national security threat and lose access to the Pentagon.

Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei refused publicly—vowing no mass surveillance of Americans, no autonomous weapons without human oversight. The deadline passed. Trump ordered federal agencies to stop using Anthropic technology within the next six months.

Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei — Feb 27, 2026

Anthropic called the move an “unprecedented action—one historically reserved for US adversaries, never before publicly applied to an American company.” They pledge to fight it all in court.

More than 700 employees from Google DeepMind and OpenAI signed a letter titled “We Will Not Be Divided,” showing support for Anthropic.

Hegseth—who once shared live bombing coordinates on an unsecured app with a reporter—wants fewer human checks on AI weapons. But Amodei and Anthropic didn’t blink.

“We don’t want to sell something that we don’t think is reliable … something that could get our own people killed or that could get innocent people killed,” he said on Friday night. “Disagreeing with the government is the most American thing in the world. And we are patriots.”

CLINTONS FLIP THE GOP SCRIPT

Hillary Clinton following the deposition — Feb 26, 2026

Republicans spent months trying to make the Epstein story about the Clintons. By Friday afternoon, that plan had backfired miserably.

Hillary testified on Thursday for more than six hours, and left calling the subpoena “a distraction.” At one point, GOP Rep. Lauren Boebert halted the deposition by leaking an unauthorized photo of it to a right-wing podcaster. It was a violation of the rules, and a cheap gotcha attempt that proved Hillary’s point.

Then Bill testified on Friday, becoming the first former president to do so under subpoena. During his testimony, he revealed Trump told him at a golf tournament in the early 2000s that he and Epstein parted ways over a land deal that went sour. Not due to Epstein’s crimes, as the public was led to believe. A land deal. That upends Trump’s public story entirely.

Republicans wanted to play games with the truth, and what they got was a road map leading right back to the Trump regime. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick—who visited Epstein’s island in 2012, four years after Epstein’s first conviction—came up in Hillary’s testimony. The House Oversight Committee now appears poised to subpoena Lutnick, with even GOP Committee Chair James Comer calling it “very possible.” The regime acts like they don’t want to play anymore. Too late.

TRUMP’S SCHEME TO KEEP TARIFF MONEY

Sen. Markey talking about Tariff Refund Act — Feb 25, 2026

When the Supreme Court ruled 6-3 that Trump’s tariffs were illegal, the regime had already collected up to $175 billion under authority it never had. The ruling did not address refunds—leaving that to the lower courts. Trump crassly said: “I guess it has to get litigated for the next two years.” That’s not him being confused. That was the plan.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent made that clear when he called refunds “the ultimate corporate welfare” on Fox, and when he told the Economic Club of Dallas: “I got a feeling the American people won’t see it.”

Senate Democrats introduced the Tariff Refund Act, which already has 26 co-sponsors. The bill would require full repayment with interest within 180 days, starting with small businesses. Sen. Markey said: “That money must be repaid immediately.”

Democrats have a $175 billion reason to make this one of the defining issues of the midterms.

OF COURSE HE HAS A PLAN

Pro-Trump activists drafted a 17-page executive order for Trump to declare a national emergency, blame Chinese interference for his 2020 loss, ban mail-in ballots, outlaw voting machines, and seize election authority from all 50 states. There’s no evidence to justify any of it, but Trump reportedly reviewed the draft anyway.

The blueprint is already being tested. In late January, dozens of federal agents raided Fulton County’s election hub, initially using the wrong warrant. They seized nearly 700 boxes of ballots, absentee envelopes, and voter data. Trump’s Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard was also there—but nobody knows why.

Fulton County Commissioner Mo Ivory recently said in a Senate hearing: “What we’re seeing is a preview of what could happen nationally.”

She’s right—and the only answer to a regime that’s already running drills on stealing our vote is to make November impossible to steal. That means we keep organizing, turning out voters, and electing a Congress that can stop this regime. We’re working on all three.

The Dworkin Report has driven 645,000 calls and letters to lawmakers and generated billions of monthly impressions on social media—all on top of our investigative work and news briefs. No ads. No corporate backers. No billionaires trying to protect Trump. Just readers who joined together in this amazing community to fight back.

JUST A FEW OF MANY COMMENTS:

Make no mistake. Trump is declaring war as an excuse to claim the United States is under attack by foreign forces. It’s to be his grounds for taking over our elections.

I don't disagree. We need to remind him and his lackeys that our country held elections during the Civil War, and that was fought exclusively on our turf!

Elections were held during the Civil War and all subsequent wars. During both world wars, for heaven’s sake. The f*>kwits don’t know squat about history. Their desperation and incompetence are on full display.

I agree with you about his tactics. He is also doing it to try to divert our attention from the Epstein Files. But we can stay strong and have elections. We need to start preparing ourselves now.

More that ANYTHING ELSE, these files will be his demise.

Exactly!! We need, as you say, to prepare now. Trump will use every trick to steal our right to vote. He knows his power will be at stake next fall.

Once the acid has begun to eat his shield of innocence,

it will continue to gnaw and destroy.

I’ll have to admit it was great seeing Hillary giving back some karma to Trump. And they didn’t even bring up Benghazi lol

I was thinking exactly the same thing! Hill takes no prisoners, and THAT is inspiring! Ben who???

Damn straight I’ll be taking part!

I absolutely am planning on attending No Kings in Chicago. I even purchased a cane with a fold down seat so I could stay for the entire rally. At 76 I get tired after standing on hard ground for a couple of hours.

That my local high school students walked out in protest of ICE. It is inspiring to see the young people, most of whom are too young to vote, to be engaged and pushing back on this regime. It bodes well for the future provided we keep our Democracy and Country

Years ago, I bought my father a cane-seat so he could continue to travel and he absolutely loved it. Kudos to you for staying in the fight at 76! Thank you.🇺🇸

That was my response the last time Scott asked about recent inspirations! I had seen a huge group of high-school aged students walking down a busy street with signs saying "dump trump" and the like, and given the time of day, they had obviously gotten up during class, grabbed their signs and walked out to protest. I was so proud of them. After all, so much of trump's damage will cause THEM to suffer in the future, well after trump is pushing up daisies (or, in his case, poison ivy).

LOVE the poison ivy, but maybe skunk weed would be mixed in?

(And tentacles reaching up from the netherworld?)

Wonderful! I'm 75, I'm not sure if I'm going to the Colorado State Capital in Denver or staying closer to my neighborhood this time. The press underreports or downplays the significance of these rallies and demonstrations. But we're doing this to encourage each other to keep going, remind the Epstein class that there are way more of us than there are of them and most importantly show the rest of the world that the there's so much more going on in The United States of America than the MAGAS and the orange blight.

We desperately need the support of other democracies to succeed against the forces of Putin, oligarchs and the evil intentions of the Epstein class, techbros and Christian Nationalists.

I'm also 75 and as long as the weather doesn't get too ugly, I will be at the Capitol in Denver. I live only about 3 miles from there, so it's the closest option. If the weather is ugly and could impact my well-being, online is available, but I try to be one of the bodies that show up if at all possible.

I am inspired daily by the perseverance, ingenuity, and bravery of the people of Ukraine. That is the exact opposite feeling I have for our own government.

Thank you! We must not forget Ukraine! I give a monthly donation to UNITED24, and I highly recommend it as a strong, active and effective organization. And because it's registered here in the US, it's also tax deductible. I ❤️ how they pick projects, like buying or building new tanks, and show you what your donations are accomplishing. SLAVA UKRAINI 🇺🇦 ♥️

I plan on attending a March locally. In terms of inspiration, I saw a story about a woman who lived very frugally saved $1 billion because she had gotten stock in the company she worked for, and gave her money to multiple charities to help others. She never used the money to be extravagant for herself. I admire that.

She'd never make it as president this day and age. Unfortunately. Money is for ballrooms and gold doo-dads and gold idols of oneself, and it's also to be amassed, never to be shared or used for good. I'm surprised trump hasn't declared that charities are no longer tax-deductible. Philanthropy is dead in the water in American politics.

Hillary Clinton is an inspiration!

I will be there in person. Might even be a nice day outside! But we're used to fighting ice in Wisconsin!!!

Wisconsin rocks!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

I really like New Jersey Senator Andy Kim. He was interviewed on MSNow, laying out in great detail why our national security is at great risk since the illegal attacks on Iran began. We are only two days in to this nightmare.

I don’t feel we can wait until March 28 either. Somehow there need to be more protests and walkouts now. How about protests at Trump tower where Melania lives with Barron while he’s at NYU. Then a big walkout at NYU.

1) I will be attending the #NoKings rally in Palm Springs California with a few friends and can't wait!

2) New Mexico Representative Melanie Stansbury inspires me daily, with her reports from Congress that lay out exactly what's happening behind closed doors. I love her!!😁

Thank you for that info. I will take a look at what she is putting out. I could use some inspiration.

My next protest sign: Honk for Tariff Refund! 🪧🤣

I use a walker so attending a No Kings rally is an issue, but I AM VERY much with you in spirit, Scott.

I would need a wheelchair and someone to push it, and even then I would be in pain, because of degenerative disc disease, I have to lie with my legs up and my neck supported. I protest from my bed, with my tablet and my wallet (when possible).

You have to admit, these are some pretty damn good stories for the resistance.

I hope to participate on March 28. And what inspired me was the Anthropic stand, I switched from ChatGPT to Anthropic’s Claude.

I was happy to see the AI companies stand together on this. If more companies would have done that in the first place we might not be in this big mess as we are.

Well, I continue to be inspired by seeing & hearing reports of growing resistance from varied individuals and groups. This morning it's the stories re: the AI folks standing up to Hegseth & the rest of the regime. High school students protesting give me hope for the future because they're the next generation of voters & activists.

Re: Hillary. . . I am among probably a big group of Americans who have said that Hillary was right all along, and I admire her ability to remain strong & grounded and to draw such a sharp contrast to the rabid crazies running the country. What a contrast to the criminal AG's "display" a few weeks ago.

Absolutely planning to be at my local No Kings 3 protest & hoping the nation sees the greatest turnout yet.

Thanks for good reporting, Scott & team.

IRAN -

There has been some impressive reporting about the HISTORY OF IRAN and how the U.S. interference drove IRAN into extremism. The DULLES BROTHERS, precursors for CIA, overthrew DEMOCRATICALLY ELECTED MOSSADAGH and imposed the BRUTAL SHAH - MOSSADAGH threatened the BRITISH CASH COW: BP!

More recently, POPPY BUSH armed IRAQ and IRAN to fight each other - also provided WMD - different WMD to each country to identify who used it.

WMD for IRAN smuggled through ISRAEL.

Most of the factual reporting is originating on PBS/NPR stations.

This also highlights to harms caused by THEOCRACIES and religious extremism that our Founding Fathers carefully protected the U.S. from.

EPSTEIN -

If you want to follow the unravelling of EPSTEIN, I encourage you to follow DEMOCRACY LABS.

Every time I post their reports, BLOGGER removes them claiming without specificity that it VIOLATES COMMUNITY STANDARDS.

Of particular concern is the FBI STAND DOWN order that prevented New York's investigation and prosecution of EPSTEIN, as well as preventing the NEW MEXICO investigation of reported BURIED DEAD BODIES at ZORRO RANCH.

There was also an investigation of EPSTEIN & DRUGS not reported.

The DOJ & FBI are covering up too much information - keep asking questions!
