IMPORTANT Sunday Message from Meidas FounderIt’s Sunday. Let’s grab some coffee together, or whatever your drink of choice is, and let’s chat. A reminder: MeidasTouch Network remains the most watched news network in the country on digital thanks to you. Please subscribe today if you haven’t done so yet to help the MeidasTouch Network continue to grow. Weakness masquerading as strength. That’s how California Governor Gavin Newsom describes Donald Trump. He’s right. Newsom also calls Trump a fascist. He’s right again. When Donald Trump posts a deranged weekend screed demanding the “Department of War” invade a “war-ravaged” Portland, that doesn’t show strength. It shows weakness. Portland isn’t “war-ravaged.” We absolutely should never be sending troops to invade American cities. Moreover, military officials never even received a formal order to do anything and had no clue what Trump was even asking. It’s similar to Trump’s indictment of James Comey. Putting some 36-year-old named Lindsey Halligan as the top prosecutor in Virginia is an act of weakness. An act of strength would have been if the top federal prosecutors in the country lined up to take the case and extolled the virtues and merits of the case. Instead, they got Halligan, who has never been a federal prosecutor in her entire life and has never even done a trial as far as I know. She didn’t know where to stand in the courtroom or how to address the federal judge, let alone how to prosecute a case. This is because the case is frivolous, in my opinion. It doesn’t make Trump look strong to be surrounded by Hegseth and Halligan, or for that matter Noem, Habba, Homan, Bondi, Patel, or RFK Jr.—any of these clowns. These are not serious people. This regime is an utter failure. It’s a bizarre reality TV show casting intended to get ratings with shock value instead of helping Americans by delivering resources and services and actually attempting to unify the country. Cruelty is the point of the regime, but it’s also the point because it’s an easier way for this reality TV regime of misfits to keep getting attention and clicks for themselves. This doesn’t mean an unserious regime can’t do serious damage. Like a demented person in the halls of a hospital who throws on a white coat and pretends to be a doctor and goes into each room and recommends amputations of all extremities regardless of the ailment, a regime of clowns and pretenders can easily tear down the foundations and institutions within a country. It is easy to hacksaw and destroy. It is not easy to surgically build a thriving and vibrant nation whose leadership and interconnectedness in a globalized world depend on delicate balance, compromise, and forethought. Whether we view Trump and his regime as the demented hacksaw, a metastasizing cancer, a mutating bacteria, a fungus, or some other analogy, we can reach the conclusion that this regime is out of place, out of touch, dangerous, and a destructive force. But also, it’s defeatable. To defeat the regime, it starts with a proper diagnosis. Then, it depends on operating with moral clarity, moral authority, and a steady hand of leadership. This country needs leadership to fight back against this regime and to call it out for what it is. As we approach a government shutdown caused by Trump, as Trump seeks to invade Portland, as Trump continues to hide the Epstein files, and as he runs the economy into the ground, it’s time for leaders to step up. On this Sunday, I commit to you to keep up the steady and fearless leadership we’ve provided at the MeidasTouch Network. We will never back down and we will never be deterred from our mission to fight for you. We are grateful for your help in keeping us the top news network in the United States.
