Ranking each of the 51 presidential elections by outcome from biggest landslide to smallest win and electoral mandate places the Trump victory of 2024 as number 34 on the list. Of course, because the propaganda is ceaseless and the US military has become deeply politicized under the incompetent leadership of Champagne Pete, his third wife Jenny and Donald, it was unsurprising to see the defense secretary sitting with Laura Ingraham on Fox News declaring military deployments to America’s cities is “what the American people voted for:” They did not. Watching Trump’s stooges standing behind him during his chaotic, rambling, incoherent rant justifying the federal takeover of Washington, DC, was chilling. It should be understood for what it was: a pronouncement. Pete Hegseth stood for the proposition that the military serves Trump. Pam Bondi stood for the proposition that the law in America is what Trump says and the state asserts. Kash Patel stood for the coming knock on the midnight door and looming surveillance state. There they were, all together venomous children, trapped in middle-aged bodies timed like puppets to their master, serving no purpose but to snicker when appropriate, laugh on cue and sneer with perfection. Yesterday, pure venom washed over America. It will be followed by masked men, automatic weapons, military vehicles, drones, checkpoints and menace everywhere so that we can be safe and great. Washington, DC, is an overwhelmingly black city that has been taken over by Trump’s neo-Confederate government of fools. This cannot be overlooked. The White House was built by slaves, and so was the Capitol of the United States. The federal district was segregated until the mid-1950s. The history of racial injustice and racism that the black citizens of Washington, DC, have endured is real, plain to see and front and center in Trump’s actions — and a central reason that they must be opposed. Trump is using the power of the government of the people, by the people, for the people against the people on behalf of his malicious faction to subjugate and intimidate his opponents. He has declared war on America’s cities. He has justified his actions with a form of dystopic Reichstag Fire that rages in his imagination where the cities are burning, the blacks are “wilding,” and white innocence requires the strong hand of an all-powerful leader to defend the culture under attack from the barbarian hordes. It is sick. Donald Trump would be familiar with the term “wilding.” It came into existence in the 1980s, and was used to smear and accuse five innocent young black men of a heinous crime for which Donald Trump demanded that they receive the death penalty. He placed an ad in the New York Daily News proclaiming this: Nothing has changed. Some people are afraid of bears, sharks and lions. Donald Trump, who travels between the gates of golf clubs, is terrified of young black men. It is a fundamental feature of his personality. It was a fundamental feature of his father’s character. Hatred burns deep in Donald like it would in the heart of the son of a member of the Ku Klux Klan. Donald is 204 days into a four-year presidency, and he is bearing down before clamping down. Let’s be clear. The people who live in that country above are not a people who are either brave or free.
