Help power our movement by becoming a paid subscriber today PROTESTS AND MARCHES Dozens of “Fight The Trump Takeover” events erupted in dozens of cities across the country yesterday—alongside other large protests. Here are some highlights: AUSTIN, TX An estimated 5,000 people showed up in Austin to push back against Trump’s scheme to steal US House seats. The rally closed with a fired-up speech by Beto O’Rourke. WASHINGTON, DC In DC, there was a large march starting at Dupont Circle—eventually leading to a protest right outside of the White House. CHICAGO, IL And in Chicago, a sea of protesters roared through the streets. SWALWELL SWINGING Dem Rep. Eric Swalwell went on TV and unloaded on Trump’s Treason Summit, stating: “You just saw [Trump] achieve zero … I was hoping to hear that there would be a trilateral meeting—that didn’t come out of this … I was hoping to hear there’d be a ceasefire—that didn’t come out of this.” Swalwell went on to say what we’re all thinking: “I don’t know if Donald Trump is or is not a Russian asset … he certainly acts like one.” DON’T LET HIM IN Former NSA and US Ambassador to the UN, Susan Rice, didn’t hold back either. Calling the Alaska meeting a “charade,” Rice said it was “a big victory for Vladimir Putin.” Rice went on to say: “They get into [Trump’s] limousine. One on one. With no staff. And no interpreters … I hope [Putin] did not drop a bug in the back.” CULT ANGER Lately, CA Gov. Gavin Newsom has been brutally mocking maga, through a series of all-caps social media posts that embody Trump’s online persona. And the GOP is absolutely furious about it. They call it “childish,” even though Newsom’s posts are all based on Trump’s. The funny thing is, they can’t stop obsessively talking about it and repeating what Newsom is actually saying. The hypocrisy of the Trump’s cult is immeasurable, but I’m sure Newsom appreciates the extra air time. AMATEUR HOUR One of my earlier jobs in politics involved prepping briefing documents for public officials before meetings and events. A responsibility I took very seriously. Well, in an embarrassing security fail for the ages, someone left State Dept. planning documents for the Trump-Putin meeting sitting on a publicly accessible hotel printer. It included meeting locations, a list of attendees with photos, contact information, and more. These are the kind of amateur mistakes that our country can’t afford. ZELENSKY PUSHES BACK Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is traveling to the US to meet with Trump at the White House tomorrow. And in a surprise move, Zelensky announced just this morning that European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte, and other leaders will be joining him. It looks like this will spoil Trump’s plans for another White House ambush of Zelensky. Good. I’ve investigated and fought back against Trump and Putin for nearly a decade now.
