DOJ jumps on SCOTUS ruling to revive Trump's anti-voting order After SCOTUS’ ruling banning universal injunctions, the DOJ argued a court should partially lift its block on the proof of citizenship requirement in President Donald Trump’s anti-voting order. The department asked that the block apply only to the 19 Democratic states involved in the lawsuit. The nationwide injunctions ruling stripped away one of the most effective tools for challenging Trump’s unconstitutional policies, but other paths still exist. Legal experts break down the options advocates are turning to.

A win for Kansas voters A district court held that a Kansas law preventing third parties from mailing prefilled mail ballot applications to registered voters is unconstitutional and violates the First Amendment right to freedom of speech. The ruling is a win for voters, making it much easier to access a mail ballot in the Jayhawk State at a time when lawmakers there are finding multiple ways to make mail voting more difficult.
