But instead, visitors to Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, and Yosemite, are met with closed trails, overflowing trashcans, and barely any rangers on duty. Why? Because our national parks are the latest target of Trump’s slash and burn campaign. Recently, the White House released a budget proposal that would slash $1.2 billion in funding from the National Park Service – on top of the damage Elon Musk’s DOGE already did this spring. All so a few billionaire donors can save money on taxes. we need your help to speak out. I’m a nature lover, so these cuts really hit home. These parks don’t exist to pad the pockets of wealthy donors or make room for private developers.
