Another disastrous decision from the Supreme Court

 

The Supreme Court just issued another devastating blow to reproductive freedom, giving states the green light to cut off funding for Planned Parenthood — and I’m outraged. Planned Parenthood is essential health care. Millions of women count on it for affordable services like family planning, cancer screenings, birth control, and STD testing. Depriving women of access to facilities like Planned Parenthood is a direct attack on their rights — and women’s lives will be at risk as a result. Healthcare costs will increase, and facilities will be harder to access. One thing is certain: New York will never stop funding women’s health care. GOP leaders like Elise Stefanik want to pass national abortion bans and defund reproductive health care, impacting women in every state — including New York. I’ve continued to make New York a beacon for women’s rights and reproductive freedoms. I’ve protected doctors from extradition for providing abortion care and expanded access to health care for New Yorkers.
