"Promises Kept, Alliances Broken, Chaos Reigns"Trump promised chaos. The question we all should be asking is, what did you think was going to happen?
Donald Trump doesn’t do subtle. He doesn’t do nuance, diplomacy, planning, or even basic common sense. What he does do; spectacularly, is chaos, vengeance, and bumper-sticker slogans. So, when he bellowed his “day one” promises on the campaign trail like the auctioneer on Storage Wars; end the war in Ukraine, shut the border, mass deportations, kill Bidenomics, torch the Green New Deal, pardon the January 6 “hostages,” and punish “woke” schools, it sounded like deranged fan fiction. Well, guess what? He’s doing it. Or, more accurately, doing something that vaguely resembles it; without a clue, a plan, or a damn about the consequences. Let’s start with Ukraine. Trump said he’d “end the war in 24 hours,” like he was ordering a sandwich at Mar-a-Lago. What’s actually happening? Zip. Nada. Military aid? Frozen. Sanctions? Quietly ignored. Diplomacy? Not unless Putin picks up the phone to say “thank you.” The unspoken truth is this: Trump’s “plan” is to let Russia win. Crimea? Gone. Donbas? Yours, Vlad. The global message? America’s back; to being unreliable, untrustworthy, and unapologetically pro-autocrat. Then there’s the border. You want cruelty? He’ll give it to you wholesale. Mass deportations have begun; loud, messy, and devastating. No nuance, no mercy, just ICE raids and executive tantrums. And let’s talk about the Abrigo Garcia debacle: a man wrongly deported to El Salvador, despite a judge's order. Instead of fixing it, the Trump team dug in their heels like petulant toddlers, essentially flipping the bird to the judiciary. Because in Trump’s America, courts don’t matter unless they rule in his favor; and even then, it’s negotiable. Education? Forget it. Trump’s turned the Ivy League into enemy territory. Harvard, Columbia, Yale; they’ve all been put on MAGA’s Most Wanted List for hosting “illegal protests” (translation: any opinion he doesn’t like). He’s yanked federal funding faster than a casino cheat pulls the plug on a slot machine. And international students? Visa programs gutted, stalled, or scrapped altogether. Why? Because intellectualism scares the crap out of him. He’s never read a book without pictures, and now he’s punishing people who have. And here’s the kicker: he promised to “end inflation.” But what he’s really doing is hitting the gas pedal on inflation. How? Tariffs. More of them. On everything. It’s like an economic suicide pact. China, Europe, even our allies are getting slammed. The result? Price spikes across the board. But to Trump, tariffs aren’t taxes; they’re “smart business.” That’s like saying arson is home improvement. And despite the plethora of renowned economists explaining that tariffs are taxes on the consumer, Trump and enablers refuse to listen and swear that all costs will be borne by the country that is ripping us off. Tell that to the check out person at the grocery or big box store. Green New Deal? Torched. Bidenomics? Dismantled with a crowbar. DEI programs? Flushed. Trump has turned his second term into a demolition derby of anything remotely forward-thinking. Progress is now a dirty word. He doesn’t want to fix the future; he wants to yank it back to 1953 and make it wear a red MAGA hat. Then there’s his favorite constitutional voodoo: ending birthright citizenship. He’s tossing out executive orders like confetti, trying to rewrite the 14th Amendment by fiat. Legal experts are screaming, the courts are groaning, and Trump? He’s giddy. Because in his warped worldview, laws are for suckers and immigrants are for deporting; regardless of what the Constitution says. And yes, the January 6 traitors; sorry, “patriots”, have been pardoned. All of them. Trump didn’t just wipe their records; he canonized them. Gave them MAGA sainthood. The message? Storm the Capitol, beat up cops, smear your feces on the walls for me; and get a hero’s welcome at CPAC. It’s not just dangerous. It’s inviting the sequel. So now the world is watching, dumbfounded, trying to make sense of what the hell is happening in America. Allies are nervous. Adversaries are giddy. Diplomats are dusting off their crisis binders while Trump tweets out all-caps threats about windmills and electric vehicles. Every promise he made is now a policy in motion; half-baked, ill-conceived, and soaked in vengeance. And the more he follows through, the more isolated America becomes. This isn’t governance. This is payback politics. It’s not “America First.” It’s “Trump First, Everyone Else; Pay Cash or Get Lost.” So yeah, Donald Trump kept his word. He’s doing exactly what he said he would. And just like I warned you: when Trump tells you who he is, believe him. The real tragedy is that now; he finally has the power and intends to prove it.
