Michael de Adder here. Thanks for all the kind words regarding the cartoons I’ve been sharing with the MeidasTouch community on Substack.

You may remember my work from the Washington Post or one of the many newspapers in the USA that have reprinted my work over the past decade. I’m excited to continue to share my work on this independent platform. The fight for democracy has never been more critical.

Trump sees tariffs as a way to protect U.S. industries and punish trade rivals—especially China. He claims they reduce deficits and bring back jobs, despite evidence that they raise consumer costs and provoke retaliation. Critics call tariffs a tax on Americans, but Trump frames them as a sign of economic strength.

But what does Trump really know about strength? He thinks insulting people and mocking the disabled is strength.
