The tragic midair collision that claimed the lives of 67 people is a devastating loss, and our thoughts are with the families and loved ones of those who were on board. As investigators work to understand what happened, this should be a moment for unity, compassion, and support. Instead, Trump wasted no time using this tragedy to push baseless political attacks, blaming Democrats and diversity efforts for an accident that is still under investigation. His response—filled with scapegoating and division—is a reminder of the leadership we’re up against. But while Trump chooses to fuel outrage, we can choose to stand for truth, accountability, and compassion. Even on difficult days like this, hope persists. It’s in the people working to uncover the truth, in communities coming together to support those grieving, and in the belief that we can build something better.
