To raise the issue of the pardon of VIETNAM draft dodgers in 1977 at this time represents ignorance of HISTORY, as well as ignoring COMMANDER BONE SPURS!
Ignorance is a WONDERFUL THING....why were we in SOUTHEAST ASIA? was it DRUGS? Was it RUBBER (since replaced) ? WHY?
MAGAs don't like to READ!
It also ignores JIMMY CARTER's contributions POST PRESIDENCY.
His re-election was sabotaged for good reason by the WAR MONGERS...
MAGA: If you want to comment about VIETNAM, DO YOUR RESEARCH!
WAR CRIMINAL KISSINGER also played a role in expanding the war...

Kill Anything That Moves: The Real American War in Vietnam (American Empire Project) Paperback – December 31, 2013
by Nick Turse (Author)
Based on classified documents and first-person interviews, a startling history of the American war on Vietnamese civilians
The American Empire Project
Winner of the Ridenhour Prize for Reportorial Distinction
Americans have long been taught that events such as the notorious My Lai massacre were isolated incidents in the Vietnam War, carried out by just a few "bad apples." But as award-winning journalist and historian Nick Turse demonstrates in this groundbreaking investigation, violence against Vietnamese noncombatants was not at all exceptional during the conflict. Rather, it was pervasive and systematic, the predictable consequence of official orders to "kill anything that moves."
Drawing on more than a decade of research into secret Pentagon archives and extensive interviews with American veterans and Vietnamese survivors, Turse reveals for the first time the workings of a military machine that resulted in millions of innocent civilians killed and wounded-what one soldier called "a My Lai a month." Devastating and definitive, Kill Anything That Moves finally brings us face-to-face with the truth of a war that haunts America to this day.

SEYMOUR HERSH wrote about the MYLAI MASSACRE & COLIN POWELL tried to COVER IT UP!
Ridenhour called Seymour Hersh on 22 October 1969. The freelance investigative journalist conducted an independent inquiry, and published to break the wall of silence that was surrounding the Mỹ Lai massacre. Hersh initially tried to sell the story to Life and Look magazines; both turned it down. Hersh went to the small, Washington-based Dispatch News Service, which sent it to fifty major American newspapers; thirty accepted it for publication.[164] New York Times reporter Henry Kamm investigated further and found several survivors of the Mỹ Lai massacre in South Vietnam. He estimated the number of civilians killed as 567.[165]

Trump is throwing gas on the fire, pissing off MAGA not over his pro-immigration statements to let more black and brown people into America, and is now praising the late great Jimmy Carter in his social media posts. Popok explains why Trump is praising Carter, and the Carter policies that Trump will have no choice to continue to support when president.
