Mr. and Mrs. Scarborough defend going to Mar-A-Lago… “Morning Joe” hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski are defending what has been described as a kiss-the-ring visit to Donald Trump’s Mar-A-Lago estate over the weekend. The Trump critics-turned-Trump dinner guests may have made nice with Trump, but lost their credibility in the process. CNN reported that the couple accepted the invitation over fears of retribution by Trump. A lot of folks fear the retribution Trump has promised, but you won’t see us dining with the convicted felon.
Trumpworld already listing Hegseth alternatives… Donald Trump had plenty of options for his Defense Secretary such as people with actual government experience who would have sailed through a U.S. Senate soon to be Republican-controlled. Pete Hegseth was initially a joke of a nominee, but we stopped laughing when reports surfaced that Hegseth paid a woman to settle a sexual assault allegation, something he denies. Trumpworld is pissed, and they have apparently compiled a list of alternative names, a bad sign for Hegseth and for Trump.

Trump wants Keystone XL back on Day One… Apparently when Trump promised to be a “dictator on Day One” he wasn’t kidding. The Keystone Pipeline has been dead since President Obama was still in office… it remained dead through Trump’s first term and no company is even trying to build it anymore. But three sources familiar tell Politico that Trump is bringing it back on his first day back in the White House. That’s not how pipelines work, of course, so to paraphrase Trump circa 2015, he’s going to build a pipeline and Canada is going to pay for it.
Elon wants federal workers to quit… Donald Trump’s “Department of Government Efficiency” – led by billionaire cheer captain Elon Musk and former GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy – hates government workers. Trump is considering a Day One executive order ending federal remote work. But this ploy isn’t about remote work at all; it’s about forcing people out of the federal workforce and not backfilling the jobs. Many federal employees working from home live nowhere near the federal agency they work for, so they would just quit, and that’s what Trump and Elon want. But why is no one asking Elon which office he will work from five days a week???

Pop icon Taylor Swift took a break in between the Toronto performances of her Eras Tour for a girls’ night out in New York City. Joining Tay-Tay were friends Este Haim and Faith Hill. We’re jealous. E! reports, “Taylor showed off her style in a black and white plaid skirt, with a matching trench coat, Gucci sling backs and carried the Fendi peekaboo bag.”
