Five Questions with Molly Jong-Fast JOYCE VANCE MAR 31 ∙ PREVIEW If you don’t already know who Molly Jong-Fast is, you might recognize her famous last name. (It’s not Kim Jong-Un, the North Korean strong man—despite all of the internet memes that pictured them together à la Forrest Gump. They are not related.) That’s because of her Mom, the iconic novelist Erica Jong, who wrote the 1973 classic, Fear of Flying. Molly is that friend we all want to have with the amazing sense of humor and great social media account presence Molly, too, is a writer. She stands in her own right as one of the keenest emerging political analysts of our time. Despite having serious things to say, she’s not afraid to be funny, even at her own expense, and to seize the joy in life. Molly’s writing and television commentary are fresh air. She’s honest, and she’s unafraid to speak the truth to power. That’s why I read every word she writes and stop what I’m doing when she’s on TV. And that’s why I wanted to have her as our guest for Five Questions tonight, in this particular moment when speaking truth to power is what’s called for.
