Republican Governor Kim Reynolds of Iowa announced recently that the state would NOT be continuing with a program to feed hungry children in the summer months because $40 per month per family was "not sustainable." This is the same woman who announced a huge reduction in the corporate tax rate just a few months ago, so apparently there's plenty of money in Iowa for tax cuts, but not enough to feed starving children.
