Today was a good day for the rule of law. A New York jury convicted the Trump Organization of all 17 counts involving a financial fraud scheme the Trump Org had been running for 15 years. In another important legal development, Representative Bennie Thompson, Chairman of the January 6 House select committee investigating the insurrection, announced today that the committee WILL be making formal criminal referrals to the Department of Justice of the crimes they uncovered during the course of their investigation.
