Insulin should be free

Charles Booker

Last night, during the Georgia Senate debate between Raphael Warnock and Herschel Walker, the Republican nominee made a ridiculous statement castigating Georgians to eat healthier instead of agreeing with Warnock that insulin prices should be capped or lowered.

As someone with Type 1 diabetes, I want to make something perfectly clear to Herschel Walker, Rand Paul, and every jackass politician who thinks diabetics are all lazy people with bad diets: We need insulin to live.

A change in diet wouldn’t make my disease go away. And we shouldn’t die because we can’t afford our medicine.

Put simply, insulin should be free.

My name is Charles Booker. I’m on a mission to defeat Rand Paul and restore leadership to the Senate and representation for Kentucky, from the Hood to the Holler.

Thanks,

Charles Booker
