SHE SPENT HER LIFE BEGGING ON THE STREETS
Rosie has arrived! There aren’t words to express how relieved we are to have Rosie with us, and how grateful we are to you for helping her get to freedom.
Because of security issues, we were unable to do a medical examination prior to her rescue. Weeping wounds and scars were visible around her legs, but we knew we had to wait until Rosie got to the hospital to do a full assessment.
With every elephant rescue, one of the first areas we evaluate are their feet. Identifying serious problems can often be lifesaving as well as provide immediate pain relief. With Rosie, her trauma became clear immediately (photo above). Foreign objects like this bolt and other debris were found embedded in her foot pads.

You helped get her out of chains, but there’s so much more she needs. Rosie requires antibiotics, daily foot baths, pedicures, nutritious food and laser treatments to heal her. Can you help by becoming a monthly supporter today?
- $12 a month with give her one healing laser treatment.
- $26 a month will feed her 100 pounds of healthy food for a day.
- $50 a month will give her a week of medicated foot baths.
A pledge of any amount helps, and this is your one chance this year to get our limited edition reusable bag set with exclusive wildlife artwork. Can you become a monthly supporter today?
