U.S. funding for the global pandemic response has run out. Congress has failed to pass a new package. The agency responsible for getting vaccines to countries that need them is winding down operations. It is near certain that another Covid variant will emerge, take more lives, and throw our world upside down unless Congress acts. But instead of passing a new Covid package, they've gone on recess -- a massive folly that New York Times writer Michelle Goldberg aptly highlights in her recent column. Will you retweet us today to elevate Goldberg's must-read column and keep the conversation going about Congress's inexcusable inaction?
Every day, the American death toll from the virus creeps closer to a million. Any lawmaker who acts as though the pandemic is over is deluding themselves. Our mission to end Covid around the world is too important to give up on -- and our growing community is keeping pressure on Congress to pass Covid funding as soon as they get back from recess. Thanks for being a part of it! -All of us at End Covid Now
