Coronavirus Strikes Papua New Guinea
by Dr Binoy Kampmark

Currently, the number of coronavirus cases has almost reached 9,800 with 89 deaths recorded.  But these figures may well be skewed.
Moses Laman of the Papua New Guinea Institute of Medical Research told Devex at the start of this month that the figure of 100,000 was “closer to reality” given that 1 in 5 tests returned a positive result.  “That tells us there is widespread community transmission.”

Tightening The Noose Around Syria
by Yanis Iqbal

The US – with the help of Israel – has been repeatedly waging attacks on the high seas against oil tankers bound for Syria. In recent statements to parliament, Syria’s Prime Minister Hussein Arnous revealed that oil tankers loaded with crude allocated for Syria are being attacked or intercepted on the high seas. Power list of 100 Indians in the service of Brahmanism (this list can have some Dalit-OBC-Muslim, Christian, Adivasi names too), 50 non Dalit Ambedkarites, 100 Ambedkarites in the service of humanity (including literature, social work, journalism (this can have people of all communities who have followed Dr Baba Saheb Ambedkar and are dedicated to his vision and mission).

Dr.Ambedkar: Current Political and Economic Scenario
by SR Darapuri

There are very few such events where on this day there is a serious discussion about Dr. Ambedkar’s life philosophy and its present relevance. Its festive form has its own significance. But discussing the
relevance of Dr. Ambedkar’s philosophy in the current scenario can be more useful. Therefore, it would be more expedient to evaluate the current political and economic scenario in the light of Dr. Ambedkar’s philosophy and ideology.

Unfortunately, however, in many countries there is need for improving reliability of mortality data. In addition there is another serious and wider problem. This relates to delays in availability of mortality data, even more in the context of data in public domain
