MoveOn.org : Do you need support because of coronavirus?

Dear MoveOn member,

More than 200,000 Americans have now died from COVID-19, a crisis that has been exacerbated by this administration's denial of science, failure to prepare, and willful neglect.1 And as the news over the last 48 hours has shown us, every person is at risk for contracting COVID-19.

At the same time, there's been a tremendous outpouring of support and resilience, with communities coming together to care for each other in deep and profound ways.

As we continue the crucial work of holding the Trump administration and Republicans in Congress accountable—demanding policies and relief that protect and support our communities—we must simultaneously continue to be there for one another.

Right now, everyone could use a little extra support.

Will you check out and share MoveOn's Coronavirus Resource Hub database of national resources, tools, and aid to help you take care of yourself, your family, and your community during the COVID-19 pandemic?

Visit the Coronavirus Resource Hub.

On the Coronavirus Resource Hub, you can search for all kinds of support—from mental health resources to financial funds to information on workers' rights and COVID to multilingual resources and more. And if there's something you'd like included, you can submit it right on the page.

Our lives and routines have dramatically changed since the pandemic began. Too many of us are mourning the loss of friends and family. Many have lost jobs or income and are facing housing and food insecurity. School buildings have closed, creating new challenges for students and families alike. We miss gathering with our friends and families. So much that we are grappling with now was unimaginable just a year ago.

And because the impacts of the coronavirus pandemic are being felt hardest by Black and brown communities, who are more likely to suffer complications from COVID and to be essential workers who work with the public or directly with caring for those who have fallen ill, you'll also find resources specifically designed to support communities of color.

Check out the Coronavirus Resource Hub and share it with your friends and family.

Together, we've been working hard to stop Trump's and the Republicans' failed and deadly response by working to elect leaders who will value science, health, and our communities. Tens of thousands of MoveOn members have pushed for real relief through Congress that Republicans have stonewalled in the Senate. And more than a million MoveOn members have taken action to stop the Republicans from ramming through a right-wing Supreme Court justice who could be the deciding vote to kill the Affordable Care Act and strip health care from tens of millions of Americans during a pandemic.

All of these fights are critical—as are finding ways to care for each other directly and finding the resources to care for ourselves, our families, and our community.

If you find yourself or someone you know needing extra support in this moment, please check out the Coronavirus Resource Hub and share it with your friends and family.

This is an unprecedented moment, and the only way forward is by banding together, relying on one another, and continuing to forge a world where everyone can thrive. And that's exactly what MoveOn members and people across the country have done: We've come together to look out for one another.

Thanks for all you do.

And to do it we need your ongoing support, now more than ever. Will you stand with us?

Yes, I'll chip in $5 a month.

No, I'm sorry, I can't make a monthly donation.
