In the tumult of our modern politics, leaders need to offer bold, progressive solutions that speak to the problems working people face. That’s why AOC is proud to endorse Charles Booker to take on Mitch McConnell in Kentucky’s Senate race.

According to his recent endorsement from the Lexington Herald, “Charles Booker is the only one generating excitement among young people and old.” If Democrats are going to defeat Mitch McConnell, it won’t be with the same playbook that gave him control of the Senate.

Charles' unabashedly progressive campaign has the potential to bring voters off the sidelines, inspire working folks across Kentucky, and defeat Mitch McConnell once and for all. Will you donate to stand with him?

Charles Booker has never played it safe in his life, because he grew up facing the struggles that working families know all too well. As a child, he grew up in poverty. As a Type-1 diabetic, he knows what it’s like to ration insulin to support a family. As a progressive in local politics, he knows what it means to stand up for what’s right even if it’s hard.

When advocates for justice took to the streets to demand police accountability and an end to brutality, Charles put himself on the line right beside them. When police tear gassed him at a peaceful protest, he refused to back down.

Even before George Floyd’s life was taken in Minneapolis, Charles had sponsored a bill to create a state review board for any police killings in Kentucky.

We won’t mislead you: Charles is the underdog in this race. Winning this primary is going to take a whole lot of sweat and a whole lot of work from people like us. But if there’s one thing we learned from AOC in 2018, progressive underdogs can win.
