Kara won. Who’s next?

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for Congress

We’re so happy to share this news with you.
Our Courage to Change-endorsed candidate in Nebraska’s 2nd won her primary! Kara Eastman is on her way to take on Trump-Republican Don Bacon, after nearly defeating him in 2018.
That’s a critical step forward. Passing Medicare for All and a Green New Deal can only happen if we elect a new class of progressive leaders to Congress in 2020. Our work isn’t over.
That’s why we’re asking for your help. Teresa Leger Fernandez and Samelys Lopez both have upcoming extremely competitive primaries. Will you split a donation to help them win?
Both of these candidates are up against moderate opponents in their democratic primaries who don’t follow the same rules. For those opponents, corporate donations are totally fine. But not for us.

Here’s a breakdown:

  • Teresa Leger Fernandez (NM-03) is running on a platform of Medicare for All, a Green New Deal, and humane immigration reform. After dedicating her career to fighting for communities in New Mexico, she’s joining the movement to build an economy that works for all.

  • Samelys López (NY-15) was a community organizer for years before being called to the fight. In the poorest district in the nation, she’s fighting for economic justice and a homes guarantee for all.

These are leaders that we need in Congress. But they’re up against powerful, entrenched interests who support their opponents. Can you join the fight by splitting a $15 donation? Anything you can spare will help.
Onward,
Team AOC
