ALEXANDRIA OCASIO-CORTEZ: One of the largest corporate bailouts in history

This is shameful.

Republicans in the Senate have sold us out. They’ve handed the House a COVID-19 response bill that has one of the biggest corporate bailouts in history and gives working families just crumbs in comparison.

We have been forced to choose: Hand over billions to massive corporations or our communities get nothing. 

The people of New York’s 14th have been hit hard. Our community is at the epicenter of this pandemic, and it is disgusting that this Senate majority has prioritized companies like Boeing over our neighbors.

The leaders responsible for this bill should be ashamed of themselves. A pandemic is not a chance to reward corporate donors and skyrocket income inequality in this country.
