Georgia Republicans purged 7% of the voter rolls last year and are now trying in vain to stop the surge of Democratic voters, but they can’t keep up. According to Daily Kos: “The share of voters aged 18-34 has increased by 68% over the last three years, to comprise almost a third of the state voters.”
In Arizona earlier this year, the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals declared that Republicans’ efforts to commit voter suppression was motivated by racism. According to Slate, “The court invalidated a law that was plainly designed to stop Native American, Hispanic, and black voters from casting a ballot -- not just because it happened to burden minorities more than whites, but because it is flat-out racist.”
We can continue this series of wins, but as we’ve seen from Georgia, we need EVERY Democrat to do this. We’re up against the entire GOP-led, dark money-funded voter suppression machine -- we need to know now:
