A VICTORY FOR WILDLIFE: Because of activists like you, we STOPPED H.R. 1897 from going to a vote in the House — securing a major victory for the Endangered Species Act (ESA) and the thousands of species it protects! Now, help us build on the momentum by standing up for vulnerable wildlife before the next attack → Together, we proved something important: when people show up, speak out, and demand better, it works. Lawmakers are paying attention — and this win shows that public pressure can make the difference between protection and harm. But we must also remember that a win today doesn’t mean our most vulnerable species will be safe tomorrow. Attacks on the ESA aren’t going away. And we’ve already seen how aggressive Trump and his anti-wildlife cronies can be when given the chance. They’re not backing down. They’re regrouping. H.R. 1897 could resurface again in the future. And behind the scenes, new proposals are likely already taking shape to strip wildlife protections, open critical habitats to development, and chip away at one of our most effective conservation laws. That means gray wolves and grizzly bears are still at risk of being targeted by brutal trophy hunters. Florida panthers could lose even more of the land they depend on for survival. And sea otters could see their fragile habitats further degraded by industrial pollution. These threats are still real — but so is our collective power to stop them. We can’t afford to wait for the next attack. We need to act NOW, while lawmakers are listening, to make one thing clear: we’re watching, we’re not backing down, and we expect them to DEFEND wildlife.
