Trump is feeding kids into his war machine.
When I was eighteen, I had three choices in my corner of West Virginia: dig coal, sell dope, or join the Army.
The mines broke bodies, the drugs broke souls, and the Army was supposed to be the one shot at breaking free.
I grabbed that lifeline and it changed my future.
I wore the uniform for 24 years. I bled with my brothers and sisters. I learned what it meant to rise up from nothing and prove that working-class kids can do extraordinary things.
That story is still the story for millions of kids today.
Young people from the hollers, the barrios, the farms, and the factory towns sign up because they want a way out, a way forward, a chance to prove themselves and fight for something bigger.
And what do they get under our draft-dodging coward-in-chief?
Memes of military helicopters flying into Chicago and New York. Orders that sound like invasions of their own cities – because that’s what they are.
Eighteen-year-olds staring at their phones thinking, I’m the one on that helicopter. I’m the one being told to point a weapon at Americans.
That is how Trump poisons the soul of our military.
Trump and his goons want to take kids who joined for opportunity and service and twist them into enforcers in a tinpot dictator’s cosplay.
These jackaloons don’t think twice about shoving untested soldiers into the streets with live ammo while a whiskey-soaked back-bench cable news host like Pete Hegseth calls the shots and thinks it's “public safety.”
It’s not safety. It’s a damn powder keg.
I know those kids because I was one of them.
I know the hunger, the desperation, the belief that serving your country was the ticket to dignity.
Trump is spitting on that faith. He is feeding our kids into a political war machine to serve his corrupt agenda.
We have to stop this madness.
We have to flip seats, take back the House, and slam the brakes on Trump’s standing army before another generation of kids is scarred for life.
