No. I Am Not Apologizing…By Ben Meiselas We stand behind our reporting on the hate rally that took place yesterday in Arizona. That’s what it was. It was a hate rally masquerading as a memorial for Charlie Kirk. Every speaker other than Erika was an abomination. Donald Trump used his speech to say he “hates” people who don’t agree with him, to complain about late-night hosts, to say that Charlie wants him to invade Chicago and Memphis with the United States military, and to lie that tariffs are “making us hot.” When someone says “I hate you” at a rally, I am going to call said rally a “hate rally” and not apologize. We saw corporate news treat this event like it was the funeral of a pope, a queen, or a U.S. president. There was no mention of the horrific anti-gay, anti-trans, anti-Black, anti-migrant, anti-women, anti-democracy rhetoric that Charlie used when he was alive. That’s just a fact. There was no mention of Charlie calling for Biden to be executed or mocking innocent people getting killed in Gaza. Corporate news treated the memorial like it was some beautiful event and did not report on what actually took place during the speeches by Trump, Don Jr., and Stephen Miller. I’ve already been contacted by people connected with the top executives at corporate news networks. I’ve been contacted by multiple sources who know what is being discussed inside the Trump regime. They are all livid with our coverage of the Charlie Kirk hate rally. They want us to apologize and not cover the rally or the circumstances surrounding the aftermath of Kirk’s death as we did. Too bad! We are not apologizing. There is a reason our coverage is the most watched news network out there. We speak the truth. We don’t mince words. It wasn’t a memorial. It was a hate rally where Trump and his ilk tried to further divide our nation. It seems to me like Trump is overplaying his hand. Sure, there are MAGA cultists who will never change their mind about their cult leader and their cult lore, and many of these are people who seriously believe the rapture is taking place tomorrow. But overwhelmingly, Americans don’t like this fascist filth coming from Trump. People who don’t follow politics know that Trump is hurting their lives, and they are seeing his unhinged and chaotic behavior. At the MeidasTouch Network, we will never apologize for reporting the truth. We act and we speak with the moral clarity that is needed right now. We will never submit or appease. I believe that this is the only way. Based on the fact that we continue to get more views than all corporate and cable news, we know that the vast majority of people feel this way as well. Onward!
