Trump deported Maryland father by 'accident' — This is personal

The Trump administration just "accidentally" deported a Maryland father to a Salvadoran prison even though he had LEGAL PROTECTION from deportation.

Let me say that again: they admitted it was a mistake and they're still refusing to bring him home.

Kilmar Abrego Garcia is now locked in El Salvador's "Terrorism Confinement Center" — an absolute hellhole — while his 5-year-old autistic son, a U.S. citizen, wakes up every day wondering where his dad is.

A screenshot of an article from The Atlantic with the headline, “An ‘Administrative Error’ Sends a Maryland Father to a Salvadoran Prison.”

And what did the Trump administration say?

"Oops, our bad!"

No plan to bring Abrego Garcia back. No accountability.

They're saying they can deport anyone, anytime, even if the law says they can't, and no one can stop them.

This is authoritarian BS.

My grandfather came to America from Jalisco, Mexico, seeking the American Dream. He worked his ass off in the coal mines of West Virginia to build a better life. My father was born here but spent years going back and forth to Mexico.

If that were today, either my father or my grandfather could be rounded up in one of Trump's deportation sweeps.

Trump — the same man who mocked my Hispanic last name on the campaign trail in 2018 – is now tearing apart families like mine.

Meanwhile, my opponent Richard Hudson sits there as the 5th-ranking Republican in Congress, doing NOTHING but kissing Trump's behind.

Abrego Garcia was a union sheet-metal apprentice. He had no criminal record. He checked in with ICE every single year. He was picking up his son when they grabbed him.

That's what we're up against.

If you've had enough of this broken, inhumane system — then I need you in this fight so I can defeat MAGA bootlicker Richard Hudson in NC-09. Please chip in $25, $50, $100, or whatever's in your budget now and help me take this seat back for the people.

Because families like Abrego Garcia's — and families like yours and mine — deserve better.

Sappers clear the way, Airborne all the way!
