GOP attacks Warnock for saying guns don't belong in churches

In a sermon, Democratic Senate challenger Raphael Warnock said guns don’t belong in churches. We think that’s pretty reasonable -- but now the NRA is using the quote to attack Warnock and keep the Senate red.

They’re not the only special interest group smearing Warnock: One ad says the candidate wants to “defund the police,” even though he doesn’t. Warnock’s Republican opponent, incumbent Senator Kelly Loeffler, is calling him a radical and a socialist. And, according to the National Review, Georgia’s (Republican) Secretary of State has even opened an investigation on a voting rights group formerly led by Warnock for “improper registration activities.”

In short: Republicans want America to think Warnock is an anti-police socialist and a voter-fraud-committing radical. Sound familiar? It’s the same thing they said about Joe Biden.

But the 80 million Americans who voted for the president-elect won’t be able to vote for Warnock in the Georgia runoff elections that will determine the future of the Senate. That’s why we have to do our part to support Warnock any way we can, and that starts with standing with him through these disgraceful attacks. Will you help us do that now?
