Meidas Health: The President of the American Academy of PediatricsPresident of the American Academy of Pediatrics Dr. Susan Kressly joins Meidas Health amid chaos at the CDCIn the latest episode of Meidas Health, host Dr. Vin Gupta sits down with Dr. Susan Kressly, President of the American Academy of Pediatrics, for one of the most urgent conversations yet. This was a powerful discussion on truth, conviction, and Dr. Kressley’s deep commitment to ensuring optimal childhood health for the nation. Just days after Trump’s regime purged senior CDC leadership and installed cronies with no public health expertise, Dr. Kressly lays out the terrifying stakes: children’s health is under attack. Research on childhood cancer has been canceled, vaccine approvals hijacked, and disinformation about autism and vaccines is being pushed straight from the top. As Dr. Kressly makes clear, pediatricians now find themselves fighting with only half the foundation they need—forced to do their jobs without a functioning, science-based public health system. But she refuses to stay silent. In her words: “We can no longer be silenced, and we can no longer stay in our medical lane. We have to call lies, disinformation, and manipulation exactly what they are.” This episode doesn’t just sound the alarm. It also arms families with the truth. Dr. Kressly and Dr. Gupta share critical guidance on how to keep kids safe this fall as Covid, flu, and RSV circulate. Their recommendations are rooted in science and compassion, not Trump’s lies and RFK Jr.’s conspiracy theories. Trump’s reckless dismantling of public health is not abstract. It is putting children’s lives on the line. That’s why conversations like this one are essential, and why the resistance must stay louder, stronger, and more relentless than ever.
