NY Prosecutor who investigated Trump's crimes SCHOOLS Jim Jordan on subpoenas AND the rule of law

As a prosecutor with the Manhattan District Attorney's Office, Mark Pomerantz investigated the New York state crimes of former president Donald Trump. Republican Representative Jim Jordan does not like the fact that state prosecutors like Pomerantz are seeking to hold Trump accountable for his crimes. Accordingly, Jordan misused the power of the House Judiciary Committee to try to interfere with the New York prosecution. To that end, Jordan subpoenaed Pomerantz to testify, in a feeble attempt to portray the New York prosecution as a "witch hunt." Pomerantz appeared before the committee, as he was required to do as a result of being served a congressional subpoena. But instead of testify as Jordan had hoped he would, he turned the tables on Jordan. Pomerantz delivered an opening statement that was a blistering rebuke of Jordan personally - given that Jordan himself criminally defied a congressional subpoena rather than testify and incriminate Donald Trump. Pomerantz went on to denounce Jordan's "cynical histrionics" and refused to participate in his pathetic "political theater. This video does a deep dive into Pomerantz's opening statement to the committee, his testimony, and the privileges he asserted in refusing to testify as Jordan was demanding.
