Your Signature is Needed: Greedy company responsible for 840+ oil spills

URGENT ACTION NEEDED: Stop YOUR TAX DOLLARS from supporting a greedy company’s plan to DESTROY Louisiana wetlands! >> Sign now!

Picture this: a sea of green weeds stretching out of the water. Cattails and oyster beds. Dragonflies zip over the water. Cranes sail overhead.

The coastal wetlands of Louisiana sustain local communities, ecosystems, and fishing economies. They also protect the coasts against flooding and storm surges from climate-fueled hurricanes.

But the Department of Energy is sending MILLIONS of dollars from your pocket to build a CO2 pipeline through HUNDREDS of acres of critical wetlands. The recipient of these funds is a greedy company called Cox Operating. It’s been responsible for 840 oil spills since 2004 - more than any other company! Please,  protect Louisiana wetlands and our ocean from toxic oil spills! Tell the DOE to STOP sending taxpayer money to a reckless corporation! >>

Louisiana and Gulf South residents have spent decades dealing with corporate polluters sacrificing community health for an executive’s bottom line. They’ve seen oil spill after oil spill, pipeline EXPLOSION after EXPLOSION! We say no more!

Cox Operating could receive millions despite its abysmal track record. In fact, the company averages 14 pipeline leaks per year. Is this where you want your tax dollars going? Demand the Department of Energy OPPOSE this CO2 pipeline before it ends in catastrophe! Sign by 11:59pm TONIGHT!
