Trump Doesn’t Want You To See This
No Kings Day was the beginning of the end for Trump’s tyranny
Yesterday, millions of Americans walked out of their doors and into the streets. The regime wanted silence. What it got was a wall of resistance in all 50 states, in DC, and in cities across the world—more than 3,300 events total.
Trump and his minions are already trying to downplay No Kings Day. Don’t let them. Hit the like ❤️ button and re-stack this post right now.
The Dworkin Report is reader-funded, with no ads, no corporate influence—and we were made for this fight. Join our Make Trump A Lame Duck campaign and help us turn yesterday’s energy into a huge victory in the midterms:
AMERICANS SAID NO KINGS
The final numbers aren’t tabulated yet, but organizers estimate around 9 million Americans showed up for No Kings Day. Millions more who couldn’t make it to a march made their voices heard online. Together, it was one of the largest single-day protests in US history.
People rallied from New York City to Driggs, Idaho—a town with less than 2,400 people in a state Trump carried with 66% of the vote.
Two-thirds of Saturday’s protesters came from outside major urban centers. Almost half of the events were in red states or battlegrounds, including more than 100 events each in Florida, Ohio, and Texas.
This was the third No Kings Day of action in under a year—each one bigger than the last.
And it wasn’t just in America. Tens of thousands in the streets of London. Events were held in Rome, Paris, Madrid, and elsewhere. In Berlin, someone held a sign up that read: “Dear Americans, we see you—we are with you.”
THE FLAGSHIP
The regime killed Renée Good and called her a domestic terrorist. Then it killed Alex Pretti and called him a threat. It buried the evidence, defied the courts, and bet that the country would move on.
Yesterday, we proved them wrong. Organizers estimated around 200,000 people packed the Minnesota State Capitol and Bruce Springsteen sang their names.
Before he played, Gov. Tim Walz set the stage: “When the wannabe dictator sent his untrained aggressive thugs to Minnesota, it was you who stood up for our neighbors. Don’t ever mistake our kindness for weakness.”
Then Springsteen stepped up. “This past winter, federal troops brought death and terror to the streets of Minneapolis,” he said. “Well, they picked the wrong city.” He played his song “Streets of Minneapolis,” only the third time he’s ever performed it live.
“You gave us hope. You gave us courage, and for those who gave their lives—Renée Good, mother of three, brutally murdered, and Alex Pretti, a VA nurse executed by ICE, shot in the back and left to die in the street—their bravery will never be forgotten.” Then he said: “Your strength and your commitment told us that this was still America. And this reactionary nightmare, and these invasions of American cities, will not stand.”
Jane Fonda read a statement from Becca Good, Renée’s wife. “The world now knows that my wife sparkled with sunshine and shone with kindness that is unmatched,” she said. “What we need is to stop destroying life.” The crowd was silent.
The regime spent months trying to make their names disappear. It picked the wrong city. And the wrong country.
THE VOTES ARE ALREADY COMING IN
The protests aren’t just bigger, they’re converting voters. Yesterday, a No Kings rally was held in the Florida House district that includes Mar-a-Lago—right down the street from Trump’s tacky house. Emily Gregory was there, after flipping that House seat in a major upset victory earlier this week.
“I’ve met at each No Kings many people for whom this is their first protest, first event,” she said. “They weren’t really engaged in the political process, and I think this is a great first step.”
Democrats have flipped nearly 30 state legislative seats since last fall. Republicans have flipped zero. Every march is a voter registration drive. Every rally is an opportunity to win a precinct. The 2026 midterms are around seven months away, and the regime’s majority is already on borrowed time.
WHAT’S NEXT
More than 3,300 people are dead from a war Trump started without a congressional vote. Gas prices have surged a dollar, and millions are calling him what he is—a tyrant. His legacy will be forever known as what the Founders were trying to prevent.
The White House called yesterday’s events “Trump Derangement Therapy Sessions.” The only ones with Trump Derangement Syndrome are the ones deranged enough to still support him.
Ten years. Ten years of lies, cruelty, corruption, and fear. Ten years of being told to calm down, and that we’re overreacting.
We are rising. Everywhere. We will never forget what they’ve done—the people they’ve killed, and the families they’ve devastated.
Trump has never been weaker. His war is a catastrophe. His economy is a disaster. His legacy is a warning label.
This is our time. Not someday. Now. The momentum is ours, the seats are flipping, the voters are organizing, and the movement is growing stronger every day. The suburbs are fired up. The red states are showing up. Millions of Americans took to the streets on a Saturday in March. Millions.
We were made for this fight. Every edition of The Dworkin Report, every congressional contact, every share and re-stack—it all builds toward the midterms. Toward a Congress that can and will stop him.
No ads. No corporate money. No billionaires. Just independent journalism that helps lead the resistance. Be part of our Make Trump A Lame Duck campaign by signing up as a paid subscriber today:

I have three questions for you today.
Did you attend a No Kings event or support one online? Tell me about it.
What did your favorite sign say?
Was there a moment that inspired you?

JUST A FEW OF MANY INFORMED COMMENTS:
My poster included a picture of trump holding a trophy that said “Most Mentions in the Epstein Files (38,000!) I copied it off internet! Keep it up Americans! Thanks Scott!
Shout out to everyone who made it, to those who tried and to any thinking person who cares a damn about this country.
So the last NKD was 5 million, yesterday brought 9 million. One more to go for 11.5-12 million which if validated as 3.5% of the population would lead to the overthrow of the Trump regime. We can do this, and thank Scott for making this happen.
You were the one I went to on election night, November 5th 2024. The way you broke the catastrophic news was impressive, considering we lost the presidency, senate and house. Only better times ahead!
I wish I was at one of them. I am not able. My heart is with you and the protesters. All I can do is to keep on pasting things from articles about how terrible he and his administration are.
That’s enough. You are still a warrior.
I couldn’t be there either but you are still doing your part and so am I when we post and encourage others! ❤️🇺🇸🙌
If you want to join virtually, the event in Saint Paul, MN was live-streamed and can be watched on YouTube 💙🩵

“If ever a time should come, when vain and aspiring men shall possess the highest seats in Government, our country will stand in need of its experienced patriots to prevent its ruin.” - Samuel Adams
Well done, patriots!
May 1 - spending and work stoppage
I attended the No Kings rally in Ventura, CA, along with more than 5,000 fellow Americans and likely some foreigners with ties to the area. We hold in common the belief that all humans are created free and equal, and that justice for all is worth preserving. We rallied for our nation and as such, for ourselves and our families and friends. We rallied for the sake of our children and grandchildren and those yet unborn, that we leave behind not tyranny and authoritarianism but rather freedom, choice, Democracy.
As Timothy Snyder says, authoritarianism isn’t inevitable. We all have to do something—participate—to push back. Keep up the resistance!

I was at the event in Pittsfield MA. I sang with the Rapid Response Choir. It was freezing out but there were many hundreds of us.
My favorite sign: “For The Epsteinth Time, Why Are We At War?” And “Massachusetts: No Kings since 1620!” The Town Green was packed from the rail fences all around to the street. Speeches: by a woman whose husband and father of their autistic child was taken read by a high school student; a barn-burner from a community organizer woman; a rouser from a man whose parents immigrated from Russia.
Scott, yesterday was amazing! It was a joyful celebration of both Americans and citizens of other countries who recognize what a danger Trump is to our safety. My favorite sign as a golfer was one that stated “Trump should hire Tiger Woods as his chauffeur”. ONWARD!!!
One of my favorite signs in Portland, Oregon: May "Big Beautiful Bill" be the name of Trump's cellmate. It was a beautiful day in the fight for democracy.
I hope you’re right. I hope we CAN vote them out in November IF we have elections. I feel really hopeless in spite of your news each day. I feel like I should change my married name back to my maiden name. I feel like I should look at Canada or Italy to flee to. I’m physically ill. I don’t feel safe. And there is no one left in the republikkkan party to stand up to him. I pray another country releases the unredacted Epstein files and that they find Shitler committed crimes in THEIR country so they can put out an arrest warrant for him. And then I pray for something I can’t even type. Natural though. It’s the only way we will be free.
It was a good day! I’ve driven to Tallahassee for the 2 previous No Kings protests. This time someone organized a rally here in Bainbridge, GA. It is more energizing when you see people in the place where you live expressing similar feelings about the damage being done to our Country.
We were at a protest in Roanoke, Virginia yesterday. We were impressed by the number of younger people that have started getting involved and showing up. We can’t succeed without them, so this is an important change! Our protests have gotten bigger each time, and have been peaceful. So many supporters driving past, that’s exciting, too! Imagine if they would get out of their cars and join us!!
As a graduate of Roanoke College, it pleases me to read this. In San Diego, the police dept estimated 40,000 plus at the largest of 33+ protests around the county. I went to the smaller one in Ocean Beach. In a constrained area on 4 corners of the main entry intersection, estimate was 300+ of us.
Favorite sign (there were lots of great ones) at the Paris event: “What bathroom do castrated Republicans in congress use?”
Favorite sign? “Does this war make my dick look big?” Pic of Pete Hogsbreath.
My favorite sign was on a dog. It said:
"I'm neutered but I still have more balls than Mike Johnson."
Yes I attended, Charlotte NC
Favorite sign on a dog stating "Antifa Hound" (he was a hound dog)
Most inspirational the diversity of participants.
Those pictures, Scott! Those pictures! If anyone could read this post without shedding a tear, not of sadness, but of hope, I would be amazed! I read it and reread it. Such a powerful message to all of us that are working so damn hard in this resistance! Yes, I was out there. Our protest yesterday was even bigger than the protests from before!! It stretched down the road! We received more horn honking, thumbs up and cheers than we did negative response. We had some teenagers walking behind the line wanting to start something. One guy told them they should probably head on home because their mommies would be wondering where they were which caused everyone around them to laugh. They slunk off when they realized we wouldn't take the bait! I believe my favorite sign said 'Are we great yet, because, frankly, I am just embarrassed!' Another guy had a shirt on that said 'Magas, I don't think you know that 'woke' isn't the insult you think it is!' One moment that gave me goose bumps was when a trucker coming down the road laid on his horn at the beginning of the line and kept it going the whole way down the line! He had his thumb up and yelling, "Hell yeah!" over and over! I was so overwhelmed by the sheer doggedness of some of these protesters with walkers and canes standing and waving their signs and 'Old Glory' as hard as they could! If magas are in doubt that we love our country so much, we will come out in the millions to stand up for her, speak out for her and never, ever back down, they should be free of doubt after yesterday's No Kings protest! God bless Bruce Springsteen! He is a true American patriot and his songs are uplifting and inspiring! Nothing has given me more determination, strength and resolve to fight harder against this corrupt regime than the protest yesterday. It isn't red vs blue at all. It is our Democratic Republic vs corrupt tyranny and I know what I will choose every single day and twice on Sunday! Keep fighting, America! Stay strong and stay safe!
