He wasn’t just holding a press conference to talk tough. He introduced a ballot initiative to redistrict California to counter the efforts by Donald Trump to rig the midterms. He showed action! We need people to meet the moment like Newsom did today. I demand leaders show us what they are doing to fight back against Trump. No more empty words. I don’t want to hear “it can’t be done” or “Republicans control all branches of government, so we can’t do anything.” Do something tangible and powerful or get out of the way. I am digging in my heels and tripling down on our coverage of leaders fighting against Trump’s fascism. MeidasTouch was the most-watched livestream of the Newsom rally today.
