Rick Wilson picked three: see end of quote from Lincoln Square
Let’s say it out loud, like adults: Donald Trump’s trade and foreign policy isn't policy at all — it's a long, flatulent brainfart in a hypersonic wind tunnel of stupidity. It is the ideological equivalent of eating a Tide Pod for breakfast and declaring war on your toaster. It is unserious. It is reckless. It is dangerous.”
Lunatics Running Asylum….

We are in it for the long haul... I like Rep Raskin's take on how ICE & Gov actions could be legally turned back against their current actions. Next weekend show up at your local peaceful protest... The May Day weekend .. see you there!!!!
If REPUBLICANS didn't LIE, they would never be elected!
I recommend to everyone that they do VOTER CANVASSING in REPUBLICAN areas as I have....
It's astonishing!
I knocked on doors to defeat a corrupt Republican incumbent & invariably the response was 'WE ONLY VOTE FOR REPUBLICANS!'
YA CAN'T CURE STUPID! although suffering from Daffy Don's economic destruction & watching SPINELESS MAGA GOP embrace the Orange Turd, maybe some will figure it out.
Trump Will Hate This Great News, and I’m Cool With ThatFeaturing Jamie Raskin, an investigation into DOGE, Republican town halls backfiring, George Santos sentenced to prison, and moreWell, that was another long week, but we made it to Saturday. While Trump continues to grossly abuse his power, I’m glad to bring you more good news today. Thanks again for taking the time to read. I know there’s a lot of bad news in the world, and we don’t shy away from that here. But our focus is on the many amazing people standing up to Trump, and sharing what we’re doing each day to resist this tyranny. Like how our articles have been #1 in News on Substack for 6 days in a row—thanks to this amazing community. Or how this week alone, our social media campaigns against cuts to Medicaid and Social Security generated 750 million impressions, and trended top 4 on Musk’s Twitter/X. Through our huge Contact Congress initiative, we’ve now sent 276,848 letters, and made countless calls to the House and Senate. We’re building true momentum, but we need all hands on deck. 100% of our funding comes from our paid subscribers on Substack. We have no billionaire backers controlling what we report, and we remain ad-free. So if you haven’t yet, and you’re able, please join us as a paid subscriber today: Town halls continued across the country this week, where Republicans are learning that folks outside of their DC bubble are furious. Nebraska GOP Sen. Pete Ricketts faced an angry crowd who chanted “Tax the rich!” numerous times during the event. Ricketts even tried to justify cuts to benefits for Veterans, but an attendee interrupted, asking: “So you’re anti-Veteran?” Yes. Yes, they are. Hundreds gathered for an empty chair town hall in North Carolina, featuring a cardboard cutout of GOP Sen. Thom Tillis. One person held up a sign showing a milk carton with Tillis’s picture under the caption: “MISSING.” Another attendee said: “I think Tillis is afraid, but I think he’s afraid of the wrong people … he shouldn’t be afraid of Trump.” They added that Tillis should instead be fearful of his constituents voting him out. Tillis was essentially the deciding vote on Pete Hegseth’s nomination. Enough said. An inspector general from the Treasury Department is now investigating whether Trump, his regime, and DOGE attempted to take taxpayer information and IRS internal data, according to a report from the amazing nonprofit newsroom ProPublica. More to come on this story, for sure. Friday was another busy day in the courts. A judge blocked the Trump administration from canceling collective bargaining for countless federal employees—who are all members of the National Treasury Employees Union. Nineteen states filed a lawsuit over Trump’s threat to block federal funding for public schools that maintain DEI programs. California’s Attorney General Rob Bonta said: “Once again, [Trump] has exceeded his authority under the Constitution and violated the law.” And disgraced former GOP Rep. George Santos was sentenced to 7 years and 3 months in federal prison for fraud. Good riddance. In other news, Dem Rep. Jamie Raskin of Maryland appeared on Maddow last night, and didn’t hold back. He said the Trump administration has launched “an intense assault on judicial independence … disobeying federal court orders … demanding impeachment of judges … now they’re arresting judges.” Raskin added that what Judge Dugan in Wisconsin was arrested for, is exactly what the Trump regime is doing in the court cases against them. By that logic, Raskin said: “All of the people in the Trump administration who participated in defying that order by Judge Boasberg themselves could be arrested for interfering with a legal proceeding, and perhaps other criminal charges, like kidnapping.” That’s it for today, but I’ll be back tomorrow with another edition of great news that’s bad for Trump. Until then, thank you for all you do, and for staying in the fight. As long as we stick together, we are truly unstoppable. Onward! Scott What 3 words best describe Trump’s first 100 days? Let me know! I’ll try and respond to every comment! All links related to this article are at the top of the comments section. For all contact Congress links, or to volunteer, you can go here: https://actionnetwork.org/forms/sign-up-for-the-watchdog-coalition ELISE STEFANIK promoted GEORGE SANTOS & ignored the widely available PUBLIC INFORMATION....she's mad at GEORGE SANTOS for her own STUPIDITY? WHEN WILL REPUBLICAN DONORS & REPUBLICANS THINK? LOCAL REPUBLICANS NEVER ASKED BASIC QUESTIONS, NEVER QUESTIONED EMPLOYMENT, NEVER QUESTIONED THE NUMEROUS LIES SANTOS SPEWED... THE PROBLEM WITH REPUBLICANS IS THEY FAIL TO QUESTIONS & BELIEVE THE LIES THAT SURROUND THEM.... YOU GOT BURNED DUE TO YOUR OWN STUPIDITY! "R" VOTERS ARE CONSPICUOUSLY UNINFORMED ACROSS THE NATION & REFUSE TO SCRUTINIZE CANDIDATES! FROM RON FILIPKOWSKI.... … Disgraced former Republican Rep. George Santos has his sentencing tomorrow, and things aren’t looking good for the serial fraudster. He spoke to the NYT about it: “Right now, my expectation is I’m going to prison for 87 months. I’m totally resigned.” … The government is asking for 87 months in prison, which is what Santos’s sentencing guidelines recommends. Santos is asking for 24 months, which is the minimum mandatory sentence allowed by law. … The Times said his false public bravado is gone and Santos seemed depressed and dejected after not hearing from Trump on a pardon: “I came to this world alone. I will deal with it alone, and I will go out alone.” … I believe that Elise Stefanik is blocking a Santos pardon from Trump. She hates him because she called all her biggest donors to vouch for Santos when questions were being raised about his shady background. She wanted to win that seat so bad and she got burned when the full truth came out. They opened up their checkbooks despite their concerns because of Stefanik, and they all got defrauded. Not to hijack this post, but for me, it's been important to understand the mindset & I saved an article that JOHN DEAN wrote in 2017. Notice how the MAGA CULT feels the need to threaten, trash, criticize those who post TRUTH & FACTS.....they are threatened by EDUCATION! excerpt: Altemeyer on Trump’s Supporters Most of Donald Trump’s supporters are probably people whom social psychologists call authoritarian followers, because they are so supportive of the authorities they consider legitimate. These are the people Trump was talking about when he famously bragged that he could shoot somebody in broad daylight on Fifth Avenue and it would make no difference to his backers. They are the people who so willingly took the “loyalty pledge” at Trump rallies in the early primaries—even calling on Trump to “do the swearing” when he had skipped it. We know enough about authoritarian supporters from research, and history, to know it will be very hard to change their minds about the leader they adore. They are extremely ethnocentric, dividing the world sharply into people in their in-group, and automatically disliking all others. They feel politicians who promote minority rights and immigration discriminate against them. Donald Trump tells them they are right. He is their champion. They are highly dogmatic. They get their ideas from others in the in-group, especially from their leader, not from evidence and logic. They say there is no evidence that will make them change their minds. They’re quite comfortable believing “alternate facts.” They get great satisfaction from being part of a large movement. Being in a cohesive crowd at rallies thrills them because they silently tell one another, just by being there, that they are powerful and right. They create an echo chamber that reinforces the belief that all the good people think like they do. They severely limit their sources of information. They get the news that they want to get. This also produces an echo chamber when the news sources they trust are copying each other and relaying Trump’s message. They have highly compartmentalized minds. When an unpleasant truth forces its way into their awareness, they do not try to integrate the other things they believe with it. Instead they put it in a box and isolate it from the rest of their thinking, which proceeds as if the truth never existed. Put all this together and you get an idea how hard it will be to change their minds about Donald Trump. One can expect some of Trump’s followers to waver if the months ahead are thick with damaging revelations like those that brought down the Nixon White House. But a repeat of “Watergate-type scandals” may not damage Trump as much as they did Nixon. https://verdict.justia.com/2017/07/07/altemeyer-trumps-supporters Not to belabor the sad truth about the ignorance of "R" VOTERS, but in the last several MASSACHUSETTS ELECTIONS, I have posted readily available REPUBLICAN LIES that MASS GOP candidates have spewed. One noteworthy candidate was CRYPTO SCAAMMER JOHN DEATON who ran against SENATOR ELIZABETH WARREN. JOHN DEATON is a CARPETBAGGER, never lived in MASSACHUSETTS. HE VOTED 3 TIMES IN 20 YEARS. JOHN DEATON stood in front of one of the CAPE COD BRIDGES surrounded by other MASS GOP LIARS & blamed Sen. Warren for the FAILURE TO FUND THE BRIDGE REPLACEMENT....except it was ALL LIES! The 2 BRIDGES are owned by the ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS - TRUMP SLASHED FUNDING! (The replacement bridges are complex because they are heavily traveled so can't simply be shut down. One bridge is A RAILROAD BRIDGE that lowers for train traffic & might be at risk of collapse.) Neither REPUBLICANS nor MASS GOP spoke out for funding! "R" VOTERS ARE LAZY - LOOK IT UP! THESE ARE A FEW OF THE MASS GOP DIM WITS WHO DID NOTHING TO FIGHT FOR FUNDING...JOHNNY COME LATELY: WHINE & BLAME OTHERS FOR THEIR FAILURES: State Representative Steven Xiarhos (R-Barnstable) State Representative Matt Muratore (R-Plymouth) Christopher Lauzon, candidate for the Cape and Islands State Senate district Susanne Conley, candidate for the Second Barnstable State Representative district Whack-A-Ding KARI MACRAE MASSACHUSETTS, along with other states, was a VICTIM of STEWARD'S HOSPITAL SCAMS & STEWARD'S BANKRUPTCY. JOHN DEATON attended one public meeting & spewed NONSENSE because he's ignorant of BANKRUPTCY LAWS. "R" voters supported JOHN DEATON! |
